The staff here are very efficient and extremely friendly. The manager handled our reservation from the hotel website quickly. Reception desk staff were great hosts. Our room, billed as a "triple junior suite," was big enough for three, clean, and fully equipped, with a large bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and well prepared - we tried all three options. The desk arranged a very good tour guide and transport. We enjoyed the large pool after hot days of sightseeing. For stay at a small boutique hotel where you will get special attention, this is a good choice. Only two problems. Although the door to the adjoining room was closed, when the people next door were smoking, our room quickly filled with the stench of cigarettes. And second: location. La Maison is very convenient to the airport, which is great on the day you arrive and depart. But the 15 minute tuk tuk ride to town, and 30 minutes to the ruins is not very convenient at other times. If you're not planning to visit town often, La Maison is perfect. Otherwise, plan on sitting in the tuk tuk on Siem Reap's hot and dusty roads a couple times per day.

La Maison d'Angkor is a lovely place to relax. We spent 2 nights at this boutique hotel. The management is very helpful (our camera was stolen and they fixed for us everything with the police). The service is o.k. but not brilliant. There is one weak point. The matresse and pillow are very unconfortable. The matresse is made of "stone" and the pillow are too high. If we have the change, we will go back to this little paradise.

This place was so beautiful and comfortable! The room was very nice and the bathroom was gorgeous! Breakfast was wonderful. The pool was immaculate. We loved the fact that this place was small and intimate.

We found the staff to be terrific as well. There were some difficulties with communication as some did not speak english well, but we found that they were always trying their hardest to be helpful.

One minor drawback is that this hotel is about 2 miles from town and is not within walking distance of any dinner restaurants. We didn't find this to be a big deal since we usually hired a tuk-tuk for the daytme to drive us around the temples and the hotel provides a free shuttle service at night to take guests into town.

This was our third visit to La Maison d'Angkor, we love Siem Reap and all its antiquities but this hotel is the icing on the cake for us.
The location is a little way out of the main town but it only takes a few minutes by Tuk Tuk to get to the main drag
The rooms are in bungalows set around the tranquil garden and infinity swimming pool, the hotel is under French ownership and this shows in the stylish room decor and the quiet understated calm of the running of the hotel.
We stay here when we are in the Far East on business, after a few days you are so relaxed it is always very hard to leave, we will be back here next Spring for another chill out session!!

Enjoyed my stay at Lat Maison. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the grounds were immaculate (cute lizards everywhere too), my room was clean and spacious, and the hotel is centraly located, close to downtown Siem Reap, close to the airport, and maybe 20 minutes from the main temple areas.

Note that this is definitely a boutique hotel - I think there are only 10-15 rooms total, so don't expect evening entertainment or anything of that nature! I personally like smaller, quiet places, and this definitely fit the bill.

I also liked the fact that the hotel arranged for a guide of the temples for me, which reduced the amount of time I needed to spend planning that aspect of my trip.

Highly recommended!
