Did try out a few hotels for our company's business trips in the region and theis was far the best (even if it is expensive). The Holiday Inn that is just next door is not as all as good but 30% cheaper.
The rooms are excellent and spacious however even if it is a new hotel some rooms have a smell of mold and some have a few small things not working taht should have been easy to fix.
The breakfast is what you need and location of the breakfast reastuarant is beautiful.
The lobby bar is nice and the Ipads they have for the menu adds a modern touch however a normal paper meny is far easier to get a fast overview with.
The only thing that could make me not choose this hotel for our future business trips in this part of Chengdu is the Taxi mess, twice we have got taxis that refuse to turn on the meeter and marked up the prcice slightly for the airport, and these taxis have been the ones waiting in the cue organized by the hotel. This is not okay at an Intercontinental hotel.
