Atlantic City has gone through a transition of improvement with many of the Casino Hotels remodeling rooms and improving attractions and restaurants. I selected the Sheraton based on a rate that was over $100 less than the Tropicana. I would have to agree with some of the reviews on this property that is showing some wear and scuffs. My room was very comfortable, furnished with a "Sweet Sleeper" bed, adequate work station, flat screen TV w/ cable. I was disappointed with a couple of items in the room. There was a missing lightbulb, the bathroom light flickered like a strobe light, and the carpet had some stains and burn marks (this was a non smoking room). Also, be prepared to get dinged by extras like internet access and telephone calls. This practice seems to be dated, but not unusual for a location adjacent to a convention center. They should at least offer free internet and telephone calls for Starwood members. Parking is available either as self-park or valet, across the street at the convention center parking garage.
Overall, I would still rather stay here than the Trop for the $$$.
