Just got back late on friday 17th november 2006, having spent 2 weeks at the Siva Grand Beach with my wife and 4 year old daughter, we were booked into a junior suite which was big and spacious and had a great view over the swimming pool. there was also loads of sunbeds to choose from every morning. the food was a bit repetive but was all freshly cooked and lots of choice, we mostly had breakfast and evening meals at the amar restaurant on the upper floor and had snacks at the pool bar, the service in the hotel was first class and the people couldn't do a enough for you. We went on two trips one to luxor and one to cairo. We booked the luxor trip with out tour operator and decided to do the overnight trip which was brilliant, we were picked up at 0445hrs and transferred by luxury coach convoy to Luxor where we saw all the top sights and had a great guide (if you have the same guide he was called Mahmoud can you say hello to him from my 4 year old daughter Rosie who he made a big fuss of) the hotel we stayed in luxor was very pleasant and i highly recommend the overnight trip as it is more relaxed than the one day trip. On the cairo trip we booked up with JEDDAH TOURS and flew to Cairo this trip was again brilliant and i would recommend booking with these instead of the tour operators as the price comparison is amazing we saved over £250 by going with JEDDAH TOURS, we were collected by private car from hotel and taken to airport and when we arrived at Cairo we were met by our own guide and driver and again shown all the sights. to find JEDDAH TOURS you need to turn right when you leave the hotel and its situated next to pizza hut and kfc approx 10 minute walk. To find THE HARD ROCK CAFE you need to turn left out of the hotel and is approx 20 minute walk away and the food is great and very cheap, you will be pestered by shopkeepers trying to get you into their shops but just say no thank you and keep walking. The facility at the hotel were brilliant and the pool was massive and heated, the poolside bar allows you to help yourself to beer, wine and soft drinks. The evening entertainment wasn't too bad. I would advise changing your money from English to Egyptian when you arrive at the hotel as the rate is better in Egypt than in England. All in all the holiday was brilliant and i highly recommend the Siva Grand Beach
