I returned from this hotel last night after having stayed there for one week. I did not book this hotel but was put into it by Thomsons (five days before departure) as the hotel we booked was undergoing major works. The room we were put into on arrival was totally basic, even at 1pm you had to put the lights on to see around it, we complained and the reception staff (Ahmed) were great and transferred us to a suite which was very good. The food was worse than a fast food take away and for five of the seven days I was taking immodium which was not having much effect. The food is definately geared for the Russians not for the British. The Russians completely took no notice of the hotel rules in regard to dress standards in the Restraunts nor non-smoking areas. I complained to the Hotel staff only to be advised that the Russians culture and the European culture were different, but they were not prepared to upset the Russians who represented two thirds of the hotel guests. I certainly do not recommend this hotel which in my opinion only warrants a 2* status.

The hotel is dirty, food is very limited in choice and hygenr standards are poor. Every british visitor was ill during our 2 week holiday. The rooms were filthy. The resturant staff were rude and the service poor. On a plus point the rreception and bar staff were excellent and very helpfull. We went with 1st Choice who advise the beach is 500m away. It is actually about 1500m away and not the best beach in the world, covered in dead coral, Visitors were mainly eastern european who appear to be even more rude than the germans. If you are shorter than 5' 5" and not a good swimmer, the pools are no good to you. I am 5' 10" and had to stand on tip toe in the main pool to breath. The smaller pool is slightly shallower but you need to be 5' 5" to survive that one. The 1st Choice rep was worse than usless so no help there. This hotel is one of the worst I have ever stayed in, supposedly 4star +, more like 2 star -. Go to Sharm, it is much better.

Everything was perfect! I will definitely go back :)
