Had a great holiday at the mirabel club, rooms nice sheets and towles changed every, day staff very good .
going back in july but staying at the mirabel beach as their is more areas to sit and relax at night the food is the same in the three hotels but you can only dine in the hotel that you are staying in. You will not be dissapointed with this hotel.

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for two weeks during the last week of August and first of September 2007, we booked though Thomsons and flew from Nottingham East Midlands with Thomsonfly.

We travelled with another couple of friends who were staying at another resort in sharm.

Having looked at many hotels and hundreds of review we opted for the Sol Y Mar Mirabel Park resort. The complex is made up of three hotel which comprise of the park, club and the beach (which is listed as the JAZ Mirabel Beach). Unlike other hotels the facilities at each of the hotels are not shared and have different wristbands.

We arrived late in the evening following a short transfer, check in was relatively quick. We were shown our rooms from the balcony and made our way through the pool area.

Our room was on the first floor, we had two single beds in the first area then through double doors into the main bedroom, which had a king size bed and led out onto an oversized balcony overlooking the small babies / todlers pool. The room was cleaned daily with towel art left on occasions.

With this being my first holiday since being diagnosed with Coeliacs disease I was extremely worried and careful not to eat the wrong foods, however the head chef couldn't have made things easier for me. He asked me to write down a list of the ingredients I cannot eat one lunchtime and that evening, presented me with a note in arabic which helped me when eating out in Sharm! Each night he took me around telling me what I could and couldn't eat. Being a fussy eater does not help matters and he was only too happy to cook me a plate of fries. I took loaves of part baked prescribed bread, which the staff happily pre-heated for me each morning before toasting. I also took some gluten free pizza bases which he cooked into lovely pizzas for me. The waiting staff are really friendly and genuinely care if you are enjoying the food, the same appiles to all the other staff we encountered.

However on a number of occassions we found other guests being extremely rude to the staff. These people are not there to wait on you hand and foot, if you want that go to somewhere that offers it. The majority of the staff are from ciaro and work 35 days on with 15 days holiday, and then have a terriblt journey home. Please treat them with respect as they do to you. (sorry!)

The entertainment isn't great and the evening can be pretty boring. However the twice weekly beach party is good fun.

The pool is large and you will always find a sun lounger, the pool is divided into sports / activities and relaxing. The pool bar is over the pool which serves drinks and snacks all day. See the Ronaldo lookalike, he is so sweet!

Each day the pare guy will walk aroung the pool, 1-2 day old papers cost about 3-50-4.00 each.

The beach is 5-10 minute walk form the park which is accessed through the 'beach'. We were told that drinks would not be served to us in the 'beach' area, however we did manage to get a few. the beach is ok but you will burn very easily without realising so take care.

There is a little market / shopping area in the 'club' which you can buy pretty much everything you need.

Generally the food and drinks at the hotel are not the best but having spoken to a lot of friendsand family that have also been to Egypt this is typical with most hotels. But hey I guess you dont go away to eat and drink the same things you do at home!

However if you do fancy them, then go into Naama Bay there are loads of international restaurants TGI's, Hard Rock Cafe, McDonalds, KFC etc along with loads more. The Bus Stop bar at Pacha is really cool.

Taxis are the only way really to get into Naama Bay but be warned, is like the wacky races! The journey from the hotel takes around 25mins but negotiate your price first, if possible book it as a return fare, as the first day we went in we used the hotels service and were charged 19 pounds rtn. Then the next time he qouted 35 pounds! In the end we used the blue and white taxis which congregate on the main road at the entrance to the hotel which is what we did, and make sure you bargain with them. We generally paid 12-15 rtn.

As we had planned to go to the Carribbean but due to the uncertainty with the weather at the time we deiceded against it . We booked Egypt as Lee had been there previously and being guaranteed good weather is a must. Overall I really liked Sharm but would say that if you expect a typical all inclusive eat / drink / entertainment at the hotel I feel you will be dissapointed, if however you are prepared to mix the resort with Naama bays food / drink / nightlife I am sure you will have a great time.

If you are looking for guaranteed hot weather, beautiful surroundings you cant go wrong...just dont expect a 5* Carribbean resort.

Hope this helps and sorry to have gone on.

Please

Love Pink Lady x

“Lovely Hotel”

Just come back from our stay at Mirabel Club which is also part of the Mirabel Park and Mirabel Beach which is 5*.

What people say about Sharm airport is true it's a complete nightmare!!! We got off the flight and walked into the terminal and we couldn't get in because it was that packed with other people from other flights!! Total chaos!!! There is no formal queue for passport control. People were just pushing in creating their own queue. Once you get through passport control you then have another queue to double check that passport control have stamped what has to be stamped!! So they check and then double check!! Coming back you stand in a queue so they scan your bags and then you stand in another queue to check-in and then security randomly check your hand luggage once you get your boarding pass. Then you stand in another queue to get your passport stamped and then your passport gets checked to see if it’s been stamped!! I would advise to take pens with you as you will have to fill in a form for entry, ready for passport control and then also fill another form for when you leave!! So glad we didn’t go at peak time of the season!!

Beware don't let the guys outside the airport to take your luggage as they are after money!!

The hotel is lovely and kept clean and staff are friendly.

We arrived and got no great welcome from reception and didn’t get shown to our room, we got a map instead.

The card you use for the door also supplies the electric - as we thought we had no power on our first night!! We did encounter a few minor problems but were soon resolved. I.e. no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. My hubby is a total Tea freak so was gutted if he couldn’t have a brew in the morning. However we did ask for a kettle and they did bring 1, we had already taken our own t-bags so all we had to do is bring up the milk and sugar from the restaurant. We missed the time which is 10.30pm for getting a bite to eat so we had crisps in the bar!!

The rooms are kept very clean and change bedding and towels everyday. The pillows are lush, big and very soft.

The minibar in the room was empty, but we soon filled it with water, milk and bottles of coke etc. We don't drink a great deal so alcohol wasn't that important.

The weather was great in the day and cooler at night. The hotel does have a heated pool which we used and a large colder pool, plus kids pool.

There is kids entertainment during the day, the animation team are German but they do speak English and other languages. They play music from 10am onwards round the pool and then stops around noon, they come round again about 3pm for 20 mins. So they aren’t really in your face and it’s not too disturbing, some of it is quite fun.

Food round the poolside is quite nice, they do tuna, beef/ham baguettes, pizza (which is really nice) not too big, plus beef and chicken burgers. We never ate in the main restaurant for lunch.

They do ice cream which comes in a little plastic pot.

Breakfast is good as there is such a great selection; we also had toast, yogurt, pastries. The fruit isn't that great.

The evening meals were quite nice, there was always chicken and beef dishes, rice, potatoes, joints of meat such as beef, turkey, duck. They have pasta, fish, cheese, salad. Their bread rolls were also nice. So there is something to eat for everyone.

If we were to go to Sharm again we would stay in 5* hotel as you can tell the difference when you go see the Mirabel Beach and we would also like a bigger gym.

The gym is quote small seeing as it covers all the complex. They have 2 running machines, 2 bikes and 1 step machine, plus free weights and weight machines and it gets very hot so would dread to think how hot it would be in the summer!!

Just returned from a week long stay in January 08.

The hotel is made up of 3 hotels in one. You can use the facilties of all the hotels but you can only use your own bar and restaurant for the "all inclusive".

The hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious. We had a family room which was great. Going in January it was not hot but like a reasonable summers day in England. Some of the pools were heated so this was not a problem.

We were all inclusive (as was everyone else I think) and the food was first class with plenty of choice and themed dinners each evening.

Staff were friendly and great with children. There was also a kids club and entertainment on an evening.

would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is around 15 mins from the airport (around £10 in a taxi) and is about 20 mins away from Naama Bay.

make sure you get a taxi (£10approx) to Sharks bay and spend the dayon the public beach, go on the glass bottom boat and do plenty of snorkely. A brilliant day out...
