After reading reviews on Tripadvisor we booked this hotel for our trip with Thomson to Sharm. On arrival, our very large room was not particularly clean but smelt strongly of disinfectant! Pity with the view, our balcony overlooked the inside of dark courtyard and other balconies facing us. A previous reviewer mentioned the Royal Wing, and with this in mind (and being a snob!) we upgraded (£18 per night) to the Royal Wing. Highly recommended, as these chalets are large, newly built properties, away from the main part of the hotel with the use of an extra pool. Much quieter, with no fighting over sun beds (we regularly came out to sunbathe around 10.30am and had no problems). There is a large children's water adventure area in this pool too.
The main pool area at the hotel is large, but a little jaded, and crowded during the day. The beach area isn't really a beach, but a rocky outcrop with tiered beach areas with pontoons that reach out into the reefs. The sea is crystal clear and a multitude of tropical fish can be seen from the pontoon!
Many restaurants, although many seemed to have very similar menus! Can highly recommend the Lebanese restaurant that was excellent! The main all inclusive restaurant has many variety shows each night, super cheesy singer trying to sing in English, not my taste, but seemed to entertain multitudes of Russian holidaymakers!!
Overall, a very relaxing holiday in a decent hotel (with the extra upgrade).
