Huge luxurious hotel with excellent food, accommodation and impeccable service. The place is exceptional for Egypt in terms of quality.

The only problem I had with it was the price of Drink which is excessive. You are speaking almost £20 for two drinks which fairly adds up if you are there for a week. The food is exceptional in the resort with the choice of 3 restaurants. The other slight problem is that the hotel is quite isolated with nothing in the immediate vicinity.

We have recently returned from a fantastic stay at the Four Seasons. Having travelled to many great hotels worldwide we were cautious as to just how good the Four Seasons could be. Thankfully any concerns we had vanished the moment we arrived to the assistance of the attentive and helpful staff.

The hotel is immaculate with every detail whether it be the beautifully maintained tropical gardens or the high standards of the room boys who ensure every requirement is met.

Sunbathing on the beach was a real pleasure with staff coming round frequently with cold towels or to spray you down with lemon scented water, just what you need in 35 degrees heat!!

We will find it difficult when booking our next holiday to ensure it meets the standards of the Four Seasons in Sharm - an opinion which seems to be shared by the other guests whom we met.

What we would recommend: -

- Belly dancer on Wednesday evenings
- Shisha smoking in the Nafeera Lounge
- The spa - fantastic facilities and treatments
- Lunch in the Waha Restaurant
- Snorkelling with the Marine Biologist
- Para-sailing for two
- Camel riding in the desert
- Bedouin Dinner/ Star Gazing
- Luxor Trip - tiring but worth it

In all honesty you could stay at this hotel for 14 nights and enjoy every second without needing to leave the grounds but there's so much to do you really need to get out.

We passed on Naama Bay as we'd heard that it was a bit like Blackpool with the locals finding any opportunity to hassle you, of course we cant confirm this but we don't regret not going.

Another point to remember is that Four Seasons is nicely tucked out of the way, on our travels we saw other hotels like the Hilton, Savoy etc and they all seemed to be grouped together off dusty roads whereas the Four Seasons has a lovely long drive and is in a land of its own, paradise probably - or that's what it seemed like!

The Concierge Federica is superb as she did everything she could to help us. When looking to eat out of the hotel then she will provide you with their list of recommended hotels/ restaurants which is worth a look.

We could give this hotel nothing less than a 10/10 as there was nothing that didn't exceed our expectations. If you are looking for a luxury hotel with luxury facilities and services then this is the place to be. In our opinion it was worth every penny and definitely worth paying a little extra than the other hotels, Our only regret is that we didn't book two weeks!

The hotel is beautiful & elegant. Rooms are set out like a village, the room was huge with it's own courtyard looking out to sea.
The hotel has alot of services like spa, restaurants and a couple of pools so you could easily stay on the resort all week without leaving.
There were a few guests with children and the staff were very attentive to families which kept the resort feeling incredibly peaceful and luxurious.
The service is very friendly and efficient.
I loved the food, particularly the food of the region. The seafood was fantastic and suprisingly the Egyptian wine was good.
The resort was expensive which I expected but I felt due to the standard it was justified however the food was more expensive than I expected.
This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in and I would definately return.

We went because we wanted to celebrate my 40th Birthday with a bit of luxury and we could not have been happier.

All the staff at the Four Seasons were wonderful. Their attention to details is faultless. This together with little touches such as cleaning your sunglasses by the pool, making up a small bed for my daughters teddy bear, free iced fruit shots by the pool meant we felt utterly pampered.

We organised a meet and greet service from the airport. Worth every penny +++

Can't wait to go again.

“Beautiful Hotel Excellent Service”

Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

8 May 2008
12/12 found this review helpful

We have just returned from the Four Seasons after spending a week there for our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
All of the great things already said about this hotel were found were true.
Yes it's expensive, but you do get the service you have paid for. The hotel surroundings are truly beautiful and no photos can do it justice.

Meet & Greet Service - Although it's not strictly necessary as the airport procedures were fairly straight forward, it was lovely for that "Four Seasons Service" to start as soon as you stepped off the plane. You are met as soon as you step into the terminal building. Taking your passport and any hand luggage you have, they steer you to one side whilst they go straight to the front of any queues for visas and passport control. Whilst waiting for your hold luggage your greeter is ringing for your limo (a BMW 5 series in our case) so that it is outside the door waiting for you and informs the hotel you are on your way. When you get into the car there are cold towels and fresh water and the driver even offers you a choice of music for the short hop to the hotel. I wouldn’t have wanted to arrive any other way.
Security is high once you get to the hotel, even the hotel BMW was stopped at the security gate, the boot opened and the whole car was looked at underneath with a mirror, before they lowered the security bollards that come up through the road. Once at the hotel entrance, your luggage is x-ray scanned (airport style) and you go through a metal detector. You have to do this every time you leave the hotel grounds and come back with bags.
We also used the hotel transport service going back to the airport, but you can choose whether you have transport only or transport and assist at the airport.
If you really want to push the boat out with meet and greet they even have a Rolls Royce Phantom that you can book if money is no object.

Check-in was smooth and after a short wait in reception a golf buggy transports you and your luggage to your room.

The rooms are large and have good amenities and I heard whilst there that they will be refurbishing them soon. The Panoramic Rooms have wonderful views of the Red Sea and Tiran Island and are at the top end of the resort close to the bars and restaurants.
All of the staff are professional, very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotels philosophy is to exceed your expectations and they certainly do this most of the time.

The hotel was full whilst we were there and yes, there were a lot of children, something to consider if it’s a really quiet romantic break you are looking for. That said though you could still manage to find a quiet spot in the extensive grounds, and in the evenings they did seem to largely disappear into the woodwork. The Observatory Lounge was a lovely quiet area with beautiful views that seemed to be little used yet the service there was excellent from Mahmoud.

All of the restaurants were very good, the food is of a very high quality and is presented beautifully.
The variety on offer at breakfast was extensive and easily took you through until evening dinner.
Our favourite evening meals were the buffets in Arabesque, where the theme changed every evening. There were always hot stations where food was freshly cooked in front of you, for example on Asian night there was a Wok Station, on Italian night Fresh Pasta etc When the hotel is busy it is best to pre-book the Reef and Italian restaurants in order to get your preferred dining time. There is also a weekly Bedouin Feast on the beach.

Management is very visible at the hotel to keep things ticking over and ensuring the guests get the best possible service. Don’t be surprised to find yourself talking to the Jean-Claude the General Manager of the hotel as you meander through the grounds on the way back from the beach.

For our anniversary we opted for their Romantic Dinner, you get to chose the location either in one of the hotel’s courtvards or on the lawn overlooking the beach, it’s a 4 course candlelit dinner with music, flowers and a menu you can personally choose, they even transport you to the location in a golf buggy. The following day, the General Manager of the hotel and chief concierge sought us out to make sure that we had had and enjoyable evening.

Our preference in the day was one of the many terraces overlooking the beach. All of the sunbeds are large, comfortable and have a parasol or cabana for shade. The pool/beach attendants all have their own area to service and will provide you with a full size cool box with plenty of ice to keep your drinks cool. They also provide a range of services every half our or so, including, sun glasses cleaning, cold water sprays, cooling face towels, fruit on sticks and smoothies, and when you no longer want the attention, just turn around your drinks menu on your side table and they will not disturb you.
If you are an early bird no problems with getting a sunbed, but by lunchtime it was pretty full at the beach and pool area. Some sunbed bagging was occurring but didn’t affect us as we were at the beach by 9.00am most mornings.
For those looking for a quieter location in the day other than the main beach or pool there is a section of terrace above the beach area which is supposed to be a children and mobile phone free zone, however when the hotel is full, as it was whilst we were there, this did seem to slip somewhat. This was our only gripe, there were a lot of children at the hotel, and we really felt that having stipulated that this was the quiet area with no children allowed the rules should have been enforced more.

All in all though a wonderful hotel with fantastic service, yes it will cost you, but it’s worth every penny.

It’s the special touches that all of the staff endeavour to provide that makes this hotel stand out from the crowd.

Given the opportunity we would not hesitate to return.
