Our experience of the radisson sas resort in Sharm was very very dissapointing. The hotel was NOT a 4/5star hotel - it was a very basic 3 star & definately NOT what I wanted or what I would expect from 4/5 star accomodation. I had to pay extra to upgrade to a better room - just to make staying there bearable & when I did so, I found that the 'superior' room was just as dirty as the first, with holes in the bathroom floor dead bugs on the wall, dirty linen, dirty shower, no drain grill in the shower (initially- until I complained) The air con was very cranky & would go from cold to hot of its own device. The food was terrible in the breakfast hall - the only things edible were the bread & the eggs (that were cooked to order in front of us) The rest of the food was either cold, not cooked very well or were what seemed to be left-overs from the previous evening's buffet. The juice was not freshly squeezed juice, it was cheap & horrible squash. Not at all what I would expect from a 4/5star hotel & I have travelled extensivly enough to know what 4/5star standards are. There was loud music played by the pool ranging from hip-hop to ballads accompanied by a very loud & annoying woman shouting into a microphone 'Whoopa' & 'party' & 'who wants to play varous games by the pool' .NOT 4/5 Star. The sun loungers by the pool were old dirty & plastic & cheap looking. I found it a very 'Chav' complex. The hotel was directly under the flight path for Sharm airport & the room shook slightly when the planes came in to land & took off, not to mention the noise from said airplanes was so loud that we had to pause our conversations whilst we waited for them to pass. The only positive feedback I have about the radisson sas resort is that most of the staff were friendly, the day trip & guide for the day trip was very good(plus it got us away from the radisson), the spa was pleasent & the massages we had were lovely - and very much needed to put up with/forget about the distress of the horible resort we were forced to endure after several requests to move to another hotel. Frankly, the Radisson in Sharm was a negative, stressful experience & I'd like my money back.
