Room could have been nice if kept cleaner - food was awful - like being back at schoold dinners - lots of drunken russians - tried to move but as we were only there for a week it didnt happen. Been to other resorts in Egypt this was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

We stayed at the Domina Prestige early September 2007.

The Service from all Staff members were more than excellent. They catered for any request we made and did so with the upmost care and efficiency.

The Hotel itself is incredible. Beautifully maintained gardens and cleaniness overall was excellent. The Resort has its own farm and grows practically everything it can to serve fresh to you.

We stayed Bed and Breakfast and found the food incredible. Although slightly costly, you can find all varieties of foods within the resort so no need to travel out for evening meals.

The resort offers great evening entertainment and all many excursions can be booked direct from any of the receptions. The Spa and Diving centres are truly excellent with views over the sea from the gym and the diving centre offering all courses for all types of people and levels. I highly recommend diving...!

When staying at the Prestige, you will have unlimited access to the club car service, meaning you can be taken too and picked up from anywhere within the resort. (considering its approx 15-20min walk from one side to another, this is a good service).

You also get unlimited access to the Turkish outdoor baths and Jacuzzis. Also theres a private beach for the Prestige guests and your own private pools and restaurant.

All in all - we are definately returning here next year without doubt...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to Couples......

This hotel was abolutely brilliant. I had been to Egypt, Sharm el Sheikh three times in the past, and each time had stayed at a 5 star hotel, but after visiting the coral bay prestige, nothing else even remotely compares! The hotel is massive, yes, but the facilities were very impressive and the grounds were immaculate. The hotel actually had three swimming pools floating in the sea! Furthermore, a massive Casino, (where I had raked in nearly £3,000)!!, and a huge array of ammenities. There were more restauraunts and food items than you would know what to do with, about 15 or 20 odd bars where all the drinks were premium brand ( e.g. fosters, martell, smirnoff etc etc), I really lost count! And the best part about it was the service, the staff would bend over backwards just to make you feel more accomodated. I would like to consider myself a well travelled man, but I must say, I felt like a kid in Disneyworld for the first time. My wife and I couldnt wipe the smiles off of our faces, we werejust gleaming with joy. This hotel is truly magnificent. Excellent place for anyone to go. Another thing I found was that not many travel agents in the Uk had this hotel, but Shaun at travelsoon has some kind of special contract rate which is pretty exclusive. We got an indredible bargain, two weeks for under £1000 each! So good we didnt want to come home!

    • Any tips/secrets for future travellers? — shaun at travelsoon is a good lad, good prices and fantastic service

I have just returned from a week at the Domina Coral Prestige- very hot at this time of the year! The resort is like a small self contained village, about 10 mins and 50 pe from Naama Bay, but has all the amienities 'in-house'- a supermarket, souk, restaurants, bars and dive centre so really, you don't need to leave! The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly although they do seem to assume you already know your way around. An orientation is a good idea as it is a big resort. There are little buses that follow several routes and are very frequent or a Club car if you are staying at the Prestige. The only downfalls I think were that the 'multi media' tv wasn't working the whole week- no internet/paid films/radio etc and this is an ongoing problem apparently; they really need to have drinks waiters around the pools and beaches; some of the staff need to learn customer service and there is a lot of building work going on just along the beach which is noisy. Aside from that, the complex is well maintained, well run and the diving is amazing!

We struggled to decided where to stay, having been to Sharm before, we knew we wanted to be on the beach with a jetty into the sea, rather than having to cross the main road to get there.

We were quoted on the Prestige by a travel agent, but the cost for two people, one week, was horrendous, £2760!! So we ended up booking the Aquamarine Pool hotel for over half that cost. But negotiated an upgrade direct with the hotel...

The Domina Coral Bay resort is huge, and houses about 6 or 7 different 'hotels'... The Oasis being the biggest and cheapest area..

The Prestige was I think the smallest area and allowed you access into anywhere on the complex, and allowed you to dine anywhere, without supplement, providing you were on the half board package. The service was first class. We had the pool to ourselves on a regular basis! We also had a golf cart to use 24/7... just ask at reception and within seconds a driver appeared to take you anywhere on the resort.. which was great, as it was a long walk in the heat! The upgrade also allowed you private car to and from the airport (although I will say that someone in the chain did not sort our upgrade, despite having emails, and we had to make our own way from the airport.... glad we had been before as we knew the ropes!!!)

It was well worth the extra money for the half board option. We dined in various outlets in the evening, and apart from the Oasis buffet, none were particularly crowded or busy.

The kebab house was great, the steak house good, and we can honestly say that if we had stayed in the cheapest Oasis area, the buffett that was included was great, and included free drinks too! (Although the white wine was warm and he could not find any that was cool).. Not particularly impressed with the fish restaurant, crabs were titchy, like you would find under a rock on the beach in the UK and the fish,,, mmm not sure...

Namma Bay was as ever in the evening, plenty to do, and I could not come home without having a beer in the Hardrock and one on the roof of the Camel Bar!!

Again, having been before you get an idea of where to go, what to do and what to pay!
We managed to get the taxi fare down to 20egyptian (£2 UK), from Namma Bay to our hotel!
And came home with a good selection of t shirts, none of which cost more that £2 each!!

If diving, I would thoroughly recommend the Red Sea Diving College. They are in Naama Bay, not far from the jetty where the dive boats are mored. They are a really nice bunch of people, many are english, and the are very professional and helpful. The boats the use are great and the food they prepare is excellent.

I did do a house reef dive at the Domina, but am sorry to say that the overall experience was not brilliant, the instructor Italian, and the house reef was no where near as pretty as that further down the coast at Middle Garden where the Hyatt is (and Red Sea Diving College have a site there too).. and it cost me around £40 for dive, bcd and regs!

So,,, overall impression,, Prestige Great, but unless you have loads of money, not sure I would pay the full amount asked for by travel agents. If you go on a budget and end up with Oasis and Aquamarine,, I dont think you would be disappointed.. you get what you pay for...
