The star hotel rated 5*
If you want to spend 13 days in reception complaining to management and getting the same answer tomorrow tomorrow then go to the Star Hotel all inclusive at this hotel means drinking outside at the all inclusive bar the white plastic cups are a must dont miss this experience glasses well are few and far between if you manage to get hold of one dont let it go until you arechecking out of the hotel the bars inside the hotel were empty we went to the Star Hotel for the New Year and as we go away for the new year every year we assumed we would be enjoying the new year in the manner we have become accustomed to at other holiday resorts all over the world never take anything for granted we were told by the management at the hotel we had to pay 100$ each to go to the gala dinner we could get no answers from the hotel as to what the menu was for the Gala night as the restaurant food was pretty unedible to english palettes the representative at the hotel tried to find out the menu and what entertainment was going to be put on for the dinner but we still couldnt find out what we were being asked to pay 100$ per person we were told by Mr Mohamed management and our rep that all the english visitors which was probably 20 couples on the 30th of December that we would be allowed to go to the gala dinner free of charge as we were not informed of the charge by our booking agents in England and the Russian and Rumanian guests had prepaid for the dinner prior to their visiting the hotel we were all looking forward to the night even though we were unsure of the menu at least there would be a party for the new year we went to the reception on the 31st of December as we had not received our entrance tickets and our rep had told us he would get the tickets to our rooms by 10am on new years eve only to be told the owner Mr Raoulf had overruled his manager and we would not be allowed entrance to the gala evening unless we paid we then asked what would be provided for the english guests staying at the Star hotel and were told we would have to eat at the Sun hotel we joined the other english guests for the evening as none of us english had not known of the charge and had not taken extra monies for this charge the hotel had no credit card facilities on site my husband and I had 2 bread rolls with chips for our New Years eve dinner there was no entertainment we had plastic cups no music and new years eve would have been a nightmare it was like we were being punished for not paying for the dinner but as the british do we stood proud and made our own entertainment without music W e never had hot water all the holiday the staff were very good hoping for tips the egyption management are brilliant at not understanding english when being faced with complaints they understand your problems but do nothing to help you my husband is 63years and I am 61years and it was the worst holiday we have ever had we will never return to eygpt it was an utter nightmare from start to finish and we couldnt wait to get on the plane home yesterday. Raoulf international should not be sold to english customers as a 5* hotel we would have not rated this hotel as a 2* brits read this review and beware.
Kateb glad to be home holiday maker.
