The hotel is fantastic, really, but why only two points? Well it's all rather irrelevant if the hotel is empty bar one or two families. Apparently August is off peak and as the hotel is part of a complex of 3 connected hotels, only one of them was being used. Fine, that makes sense, but not when you've paid several hundred pounds more than other guests who booked into the Sun hotel next door and you end up using the same facilities. Also nobody bothered to explain any of this and we were confused as to why we were given a room in 'the wrong hotel'. When I complained they obliged and we were moved over to the Star hotel, but then we were the only family in a large, empty hotel. Two other families arrived a few days later but it was still very eerie staying in an empty hotel. It’s such a shame as the complex has a lot to offer. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent and the rooms were kept immaculate. Security was very good too. However with two hotels empty, and one about a third full it was too quiet. If you are looking for a quiet holiday in lovely hotel then book into the Sun hotel. We felt cheated because we paid for a superior hotel, but could not use any of it’s bars or cinema, we just used it to sleep in. They should not accept bookings knowing that it’s effectively closed.
