Everyone has differing views and opinions of this hotel here is mine.
1. Great Hotel that is attended to and cared for the most I have ever experienced. The continual cleaning never stops.
2. Food I thought for an all inclusive was good. Service was very attentive. Mahmood at the pool bar, you are a star.
3. Rooms, good. One day when the owner visited we were told to remove our towels from the balcony. It spoilt the look of the hotel!!
4. Pool area, good. Sunbed queue starts at 6.50am. Expect a wait of at least 30mins before you are let into the pool area unless you take it in turns. Thanks to Pat. May the small teams flourish this season.
5. Beach area, good . The fish on the reef are amazing.
6. Isolation. If you are looking for some where to walk to (even for a stroll) don’t bother there is literally nowhere to go to.
7. Tummy big. Difficult one. It would seem that it is perhaps inevitable that it is going to happen .We both got it twice even though we took all precautions and did not over indulge. It would seem that in the hotel it was the topic of conversation. A lot of people suffer from it. UK remedies do not suffice. The chemist supplies Antinal and it works. Yellow tablet boxes are abundant.
8. The Bad. On a checkout day you have to leave the room at 12 noon . Unfortunately there is literally nowhere provided for changing/showering. You can can pay extra (if there is availability) to keep your room. Generally this is only until 3pm. We did this. That leaves (if you have an evening flight) at least 5 hours before being collected. Not good enough in my opinion and one I thought that let the hotel down.
9. Trip to Cairo. Book in advance via Egypt Air. It is much better and cheaper than in resort. I used tour guide Nibal Gouda in Cairo who met us at the airport. She is brilliant and you get to see and learn much more.
10. .Would I go again. No. The reasons. Too hot. Stomach bugs. Nowhere close to even walk to. The one problem with the hotel being the check out facilities or rather the lack of them.

This is a gorgeous hotel. Myself and my boyfried stayed at the Baron Palms for two weeks at the beginning of june. I was slightly concerned about staying here after reading reviews especially about the 'All Inclusive' as people saying there were lots of hidden charges. When we arrived reception staff were lovely checked us in very quick and had a welcome cocktail waiting for us. We had a lovely spacious room with a pool view which was a plus. All staff were very friendly and always willing to help.
I did not see the problem with the all inclusive at all, staff often came round asking if we wanted to go to special nights that you do pay for such as the seafood night, we did not attend any of these so couldnt say if they were value for money. We ate in the main Tiran buffet restaurant every night and thought food was of a good standard, just what you would expect from any all inclusive hotel. The mini fridge wasnt included in the all inclusive but we did not find that a problem.
The hotel itself is gorgeous so clean, the pool is large and the beach is lovely and snorkelling is out of this world. Sunbeds where a slight problem, people where starting to queue at 7.15 for the pool opening at 7.30, this did make us feel like we had to get up early in order to get one which was not a great problems for us anyway.
The only problem we found was seating on an evening in the hotel there was only really one bar and the lobby area to sit in, which you can imagine get full very fast
Evening entertainment is not that great and there is nothing to do right outside the hotel grounds but Soho Square or Naama Bay are just a short taxi ride away with plenty of bars and shops.
We both loved the hotel and would highly recommend it.

Booked one year ago, thinking i was getting the best thing since sliced bread, but i would be better getting my uncut loaf. If you want tea and coffee in your room you must pay £60 for two weeks. Considering the two weeks that i went cost for me and my wife, £2,400. Value for money i think not. Don't get anything out of your mini-bar as it cost a fortune as its not included in the price. The entertainment (what entertainment?) If you want a bed by the pool, if your very sad you will get up at 6 am and stand in a que so you can get your bed. Food overall it was good. But just remember you will be charged for the al a carte, sea food, bottle of wine is £65. if Thomas cook could tell the truth, i would of NOT booked this holiday and i even had a meeting with the general manger, who was in charge of both resorts. All he was bothered with was having a good review on the trip adviser. I told him he will not be getting one off me! i told him that the loony's was running the asylum. And the management staff are not strong enough to put things right. The rep wants to go back to India i wish him all the best the sooner he goes back the better! Water sports, what water sports? This is the first holiday i have ever been on that has given you full bored but charged all inclusive. Would we go back again? NEVER! I think the people who rate the resort haven't got a clue what a all inclusive holiday should be like. The brochure that Thomas cook prints is defiantly misleading and i feel that i was mislead.

Just got back from the Baron Palms Hotel. The Hotel is lovely, very clean, very well looked after but there are some problems. First off, if you don't get a sunbed around the pool by 08:00 forget it as there are no where near enough sunbeds to go round. This is not a problem if you prefer the beach as they may have some sunbeds left up to 11:00. Quite a few times we saw couples not being able to sunbathe because all of the beds had gone. really for a supposedly 5 star hotel the lack of sunbeds is staggering. Also on a night time there are not enough seats for everyone. It is like musical chairs, if you go and eat, by the time you return there are no seats available. We saw one couple who had to go back to their room at 8 pm because there was no where fo them to sit. And this is the least inclusive "All Inclusive" I've ever seen. You just feel like they are trying to get more money out of you all of the time. When we arrived we were asked by this guy to book for the sea food restaurant, we thought great because we are sea food lovers, but its not part of the "All Inclusive". Also in the main restaurant they did a seafood night. HA!!thats not part of the "All Inclusive" either. If you use the mini bar in your room, thats not part of the "All Inclusive" either, and the prices!!! £2 for a Snickers Bar or a can of Fizzy drink, its a joke. The bars are only "All Inclusive" till Midight, then its £5 a drink. The white wine is awful, the Rose' wine is drinkable as is the Red wine.
But dont use room service for wine, we asked for a bottle of cheap wine to be brought up to the room bur they wanted £65. There is very little in the way of entertainment, while we were there the artist never showed up twice and the management just ignored it, and never arranged any alternatives. I know it may sound like sour grapes or something but in all honesty it is a lovely hotel that is spoiled by trying to con more money out of its guests all the time.
