“You'll book St George and then get moved to Kiroseiz..be warned!”

Three Corners Saint George

I didn.t actually mange to stay at this hotel. I booked it and even changed my holiday dates from 2nd April to 1st May to get into this hotel and less than 48 hours before we flew we were changed to the Three corners Kiroseiz. It had terrible reviews and when we got there met lods of people that had been moved due to St Geogre over booking.

I'm guessing they do that because St George has such great reviews and Kiroseiz such bad ones that they over book the good one and move you last minute so they're stil making money withi the hotel chain,

Just wanted to warn people before they book that if you only want to stay at the St George (like I did) be careful as you may get let down. On the very plus size the Three Corners Kirosiez is lovely. Has 6 pools, brand new rooms and briliant food...thank god!!

Oh also i had e-mailed the headoffice for Three Corners the week before travelling asking for a travel cot and e-mailed them when I booked initially asking when they next had rooms available and then replied saying I'd booked for 1st May so contacting them in advance didn't make any difference to the move.

“Excellent Hoping to go back again 2008”

Three Corners Saint George

Johnny & Jean stayed Nov - Dec 2007
I would totally agree with mick tech on a lot of his points.
Cleanlness, we stayed here in Oct 2006 & the staff were actually cleaning the little bridge over the quiet pool with tooth brushes.
I cannot fault the hotel in any way, we have now travelled to quite a few all inclusives & this is the only one we have ever returned to.
The staff are excellent. The Al a Carte upstairs is really nice & it saves you taxi fare into Naama. Yes the blue & white taxi rides are white knuckle stuff but you would not have same adrenaline rush in Blackpool for £2-3 for 4-6 people. For those of you who intend to go back you should receive a bowl of fruit & a bottle of wine free as returning customers (well tough if you dont) we did.
For those who snorkel ask Robert at the beach bar.
Sorry but I honestly cannot fault this hotel. Ok entertainment a bit naff, but what do you expect its not Las Vegas.
Thouroughly recommend

“A little dissapointed !!”

Three Corners Saint George

13 May 2008
5/9 found this review helpful

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel and allthough we rate it above average we are as the title says ' A little dissapointed '
Firstly a mention for Freedom Direct who we booked with. They book everything seperatley ( Flight, Accomadation and Transfer ) and put you a package together, and when we arrived at the airport it was great to see a private mini bus for our transfer. We beat all the hassle of getting on a big coach and they were on time for our journey back as well. A great service and I would reccomend you take a look at their web-site as they are pretty cheap as well.

Now for the hotel, and I will try to keep it brief pointing out good things but mainly why we were dissapointed.
Check in was quick and easy and we were soon shown to our rooms which were fantastic. As a grown up family they allocated us an adjoining room and this was great. They were cleaned every day and we did tip the room lad, who was by the way good with his towel sculptures, but they have a habit of hanging around for a tip and if you are not there they will come back knocking on your door asking if the room clean is allright that way making you feel obliged to tip.I was unfortunately off colour a little whilst away ( Nothing to do with germs or food ) and the room lad fetched flowers and wished me well which was a nice touch.

Everthing else fantastic, friendly staff, nice bars, entertainment staff not bad for amateurs.

Problem !! Food and Dress code.
Firstly I am a fussy eater, I am not a snob, but in my opinion the food is no way near what it should be. The trouble with me is that I like plain food but the hotel does not.
Every meat is usually in sauce or gravy. Potatoes mixed with tomatoes and herbs. Potatoes mixed with cheese and never hot, sometimes warm and sometimes cool. This is not 4* standard. My wife likes all food and even she did not get on with some of it.
The sweets and salads were spot on but as Brits we like our main course. And before anybody judges me I spoke in length with the GR Manager and he said he would implement changes and I would be glad for anybody who goes there, to contact me and confirm that these changes have taken place.
Simply as I told the manager, Roast the meats seperately and have the sauces at the side so those who would like sauce can add it themselves. Boil the potatoes and leave them on their own with either a cauliflower or cheese sauce at the side that can be added. As I said to him, ' You have 260 rooms. Cook chicken in either a white wine or mushroom sauce and 130 rooms may eat it. Roast the chicken and put the sauces seperately at the side and almost 260 rooms will eat because they can eat the chicken on its own without sauces. He did actually agree and he said he thought that the way they cook the food was the way we liked it so would make changes.
One more thing and this will also answer some forum querys. Re: the dress code for gentlleman. it does not exist and it is a shame. I did say I am not a snob but not only were they allowing 3/4 shorts they allowed anything.People had beach wear on for dinner and some had vest style shirts and it really did spoil it to see this when you are having an evening meal.

Would I go back ?
If they made the changes to the meals probably, but I have just rteurned allmost a stone lighter and that is not what I call a good holiday.

“Good but not for me!”

Three Corners Saint George

11 May 2008
7/7 found this review helpful

I used trip advisor to research hotels in Egypt prior to my stay, all of the reviews were very positive except a few complaining about 'chavs' (true). Due to the timing of our trip, the Easter holidays, we didn't recieve some of the discounts other people did, which may be the reason my review may not be as positive as others.

I booked through travelrepublic, who are brilliant, this is the third holiday I have booked through them. Upon arrival our bags were taken from the coach and delivered to our room and we were treated to orange juice delivered via a silver tray (nice touch). We were given directions to our room and found it quickly, a bell boy later arrived and smirked as we were sitting in the dark, you need to put your room key in to make the hotel room work. We had a quick laugh with him and he gave us directions to the restaurant. We arrived in the restaurant, having never been all inclusive, we must have looked a bit shell shocked as the manager approached us saying, 'first time?'. He was very friendly and showed us what to do. The food is clearly aimed at western society and I can't blame them for catering to our needs, imagine the uproar if they didn't! I am the fussiest eater but always ate well, my boyfriend likes to try new and local dishes was far from impressed with the buffet, although being a man, still piled his plate high!

Being a teacher I had come away for a relaxing break, maybe try the spa, drink cocktails by night and sunbathe by day. There are two pools, one quiet and one noisy, both have the feeling of being packed in like a tin of sardines. Brochures and websites describe the pool area as, 'roomy', it is far from. People are literally laying next to each other. On our second day we spotted a raised platform hidden behind trees close to the quiet pool. This was our best find of the holiday, few people knew about it, and at most about 15 other sunbathers would be there. It was just a square of tiles, well spaced out sunbeds, it is surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers and is truely quiet. If you have come for a relaxing holiday that is the place to be. The sunbeds are comfy, have padding and towels are free. It is about 20metres from the pool, which is freezing, but fine once you're in. The pool was always quiet but people literally position their sunbeds around the pool so it can feel a bit like 'big brother is watching you'.

As I said previously this holiday was my first 'all inclusive' and I must say I wouldn't do it again, we breathed a sigh of relief when we got the hotel shuttle bus down to Naamba Bay. We walked around first before deciding on a restaurant. Ladies be warned, cover up, the men are not backwards in coming forwards! We chose a lovely restaurant and had a gorgeous meal by candle light on the beach front. I we had steaks and cocktails the meal cost little over £15. We enjoyed the experience so much we returned the following day. Again, I cannot stress covering up enough, my boyfriend was asked to trade me in for camels, men tried to reach out to touch me, shouts of, 'lucky, lucky man' could be heard wherever we went. I think its blond hair but i'm glad I was wearing a cardigan both my boyfriend and I felt quite intimidated but when you see other girls flirting and egging them on its hard not to feel sorry for them, they must feel very confused due to the different reactions. We tended just to smile and walk away or say a firm 'no thanks'.

One thing that did annoy me at the hotel was the constant badgering from the spa and managers of the restaurant. Every day a women from the spa would attempt to convince me to have a full body exfoliation or a facial, I think I came home with about 5 of thier pricelists. I would have taken advantage of the spa but their prices were crazy, much higher than i'd pay in England. The hotel manager would offer us the opportunity to go to the beach for a meal and dancing on a Saturday night, he would be friendly wed-thurs and be a bit more persuasive on Friday if the uptake waslow.

The service was great, I have never been to a hotel where staff are so friendly and attentive. Our cleaner Manny was lovely and the cleaners literally clean inside and out! The hotel cannot be faulted on service and cleanliness.

I wouldn't come back to this hotel, mainly because there are so many others to choose from. I'd also be tempted to choose a hotel in Naamba Bay so I don't have to go all inclusive. My parents have been to Egypt and their hotel was a huge complex with more restaurants, bars and pool choice. Plus the wine wasn't drinkable unless mixed with lemonade and the cocktails rearely tasted as they should and were so strong, their vodka is truely remarkable!

WARNING - please, please don't use the taxi touts, my boyfriend and I were naive enough to be trapped into a conversation with one and it was going swimmingly until the taxi driver and tout disagreed on a price. This resulted in a high speed journey and me sleeping with one eye open! Where possible get the shuttle bus. We chose to get a hotel taxi one night, although I think the hotel taxi drivers (who charge tripple) have 'friends' who meet their taxis and convince people to buy things from them. We were asked what time we were coming home, given a card and led into a small shack, offered drinks, potions and papyrus! It felt quite intimidating especially when he shut the door and started putting potions on us. Its hard not to feel sorry for some of them and its just their way of life.

If you are looking for a good holiday, brilliant tan, hot weather, simple food, brilliant service then this hotel is for you!
