Just returned from a 2 week stay at 3 corners, I looked it up on trip advisor before I went and saw mixed reveiws about the food. There is somethng for everyone, but it is rarely hot. The staff are great and very friendly as are the people in the shops, nothing is too much trouble and you can leave bags on the beach or around the pool and no one touches them. The beach bar is great, we had steak there and it's on;ly £4.00 is cooked to perfection. The area isn't built up which is nice if you just want to relax, weather there is very hot, and the pool is great for cooling down after being in the sun. We made many friends among the staff and are going back in October, but we will be eating out at night for some variation.

Ther are many things you cannot find fault with at this hotel .The staff in Peanuts Bar are brilliant the two Mohamads and Aly realy look after you, Also several of the waiters in the main Resturant to many to name. Only one problem the food is always luke warm " never hot"The soups at lunch and dinner are brilliant you could live on these alone. The beach is Fantasic and the Beach Boys are as well. they will reserve your sunbed every day if you look after them, ten egyptian pounds ." a quid" I gave them each day The only downside to the hotel was they dont cater for none smokers (only in the main resturant ) On arrival we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a sea or mountain view," at an extra cost of £115 english pounds" for two weeks stay . We refused then were then taken to our room which was a garden view , across from the Bar and Resturant no problem there .The room reaked of cigarettes. We returned to reception and asked to be moved, only to be told the hotel was full .The next morning we saw the house boy and told him about the smell,We also saw Maggie the rep for panorama holidays, who asked reception for a none smoking room they did,nt even know they had any. She said there were four. * In a hotel of 215 rooms.* To cut a long story short the house boy went to town on the room with fabreeze which made it more pleasant to stay in. I would like to return to Three Corners El Wekala again . It just needs the holiday companies to insists on more none smoking facilities .Give Aly in Peanuts Bar, Regards from Mr. Dave

“Very dissapointing”

What a joke, the plane being sturck by lightening as we left Gatwick should have been a sign! I wish we cancelled when I tried to change the holiday back in February based on previous reviews.
So where do I start, they tried to put us into 1 room instead of 2, then advised it was extra 10 euros a night per person for a sea view, which is what we booked, so I refused to pay but when we looked out the room window we had a sea view. Any one with small children or walking disabilities were put on the top floor but could move to a lower floor at a charge.
Very windy, temps 35 - 50 degrees but the pool was very very cold and unable to stay in there for any length of time. My husband only manged to go in once as it was too cold for his bones due to osteoarthritis, which was again very dissapointing as this is why we come to the Red Sea as the warm water is good for his bones. The beach was far to windy and people were coming back sick so we stayed away.
The food was appauling, cold where the candles under the trays had blown out and the dinner was out on display on one occasion that we noticed at 6pm for 7pm dinner, awful does not cover it. Afternoon tea is put out just after lunch finnishes for 4pm and by the time you get to it the cakes are covered with sparrows helping themselves.
You are unable to get any tea at the pool bar after 6pm and anything you do get you have to pay for, the Peanuts bar is small and smelly not very welcoming.
Themed night you have to pay for even though it is at the hotel and people come from the other 3 hotels to watch. We went to the Mexican in the end for something to eat and they advised us to go back to the hotel and get a voucher which would give us a discount of 20 eygiptian pounds per person, we went back to the hotel to ask for the voucher and were told we needed to book at 6pm through the hotel for the next night so they wouldn't give us the voucher, we were never informed of this.
The Thomas Cook rep we saw the morning after we arrived, he informed us he wasn't a sales rep and if we needed anything his number was on the board, we never saw him again until we left the hotel to come home and then he never even got of the minibus to greet us but he must have spent time at the other hotels as they were all chatting away to him.
The animation team are a waste of time they did nothing but chat up the young girls and try to force them to do aerobics or water polo, my daughter told them no on several occasions and they took her book away and tried to pull her up to join them.
All in all a very upsetting time to think I have waited and worked all year for what a terrible time, not at all like any other all inclusives we have been on and now I have to wait until next April for my next holiday abroad.
The 2 pools are the one in the picture plus the childrens pool, there was no childrens menu as stated in the brochure.
All in all I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and a 4 star hotel it isn't! Comes to something when the First Choice rep walks around the restaurant with a plate and leaves with nothing to eat.t

Firstly we would like to say a big thank-you to 'Trip advisor'. We started to use the site a few months ago and it has helped us to get the most from our holiday.

Now to the hotel! We loved the location of the hotel, the views of the mountains and see were stunning. It is a 20-30 min walk to the beach but there is a free minibus or local Taf Taf bus. We did the walk down to the beach and up again a few times; in the hope that we would burn off the fantasic cakes and puddings.

The shops are next to the hotel and we found this handy. Marios supermarket seemed the cheepest for most items. For the smokers 200 L & M cost £4.50. Large bags of local crisps 35p. The shop selling paintings was a favourite. A local artist sits outside painting all day, he is happy for you to watch him and loves to talk about his work.
This is not the place for shop-aholics or bargin hunters. There are not many shops and unless you book a trip they are the only shops you can get to.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They were warm, friendly and always happy to help. If you have a problem you must say as they are very keen that you have a great stay.

Relaxing in the sun is top of the list of things to do in Taba. The sun goes down an hour earlier at the hotel than at the beach (due to the hieght of the mountains). On a hot day this can be a relief. We often spent the morning at the hotel, had luch and spent the afternoon at the beach. At the beach the hotel has another pool and a bar. We found the beach quieter and very relaxing.

Snorkeling, a must on this holiday! Use the peir at the Sofital, a few mins walk from the Three Corners beach. For a real treat take the short walk (5 - 10 mins) to the Hyatt pier and be amazed by the snorkeling. Some of the coral is in water that you can stand up in, so no excuse not to enjoy.

Lastly the food! We had no issues with the food; no upset tummies either. You must remember that food in Egpyt is not the same as Europe. If you only eat chips this may not be the country for you.
Breakfast - eggs and pancakes cooked to order on front of you, yum yum. Plent of breads, pastries, and the other items you would expect.
Lunch and Dinner - Soups, breads, salads and fantastic puddings. Pasta cooked to order most days. A chicken, beef and fish dish, also a choice of veggies. They had a BBQ once a week and the meat was lovely.
As I have already said we had no issues with the food and never went hungry. However the hotel only offers a limited variety of food. We have stayed in hotels that offer a wider range of food and have always had an upset tummy.

If you want to chill and relax then Taba Heights could be the place for you.
