“hardworking, ethically sound tour operator- fabulous!”

We went on two trips, Roots and 4 tours in one day. The team worked really hard to make our day enjoyable, even to the point of carrying our two small children around all day. The whole ethos of the operator is impressive, promoting equal opportunities for the Gambian people. They really did focus on making us more aware of the local culture rather than only focussing on the 'nice bits'. Fantastic, and better value for money than other operators.

Me and my partner went on a arch tours to senegal in december 2010 had a great time going by jeep for about two and half hours crossing the border and getting your passport stamped. then transferring to a boat to speed up the river to a small island to be meet by some wonderfull kids. on the return trip we took the smugglers route. if you are going on this trip take some sweets for the kids on the island and the villages that you pass through. we had a nice meal at a beach restaurant which was included in the price of the tour.

We booked 2 trips with Arch tours and found both great value for money and recieved a great service! They are much cheaper than the rest and deliver exactly what they say! Abdul the owner is great and the two guides Ali and JayJay were great. I would highly recommend the 4in1 - you see so much! We took sweets for the kids along the way and they loved it!

Just got back from Gambia, we did the North Senegal trip with Arch Tours. We drove to Banjul the capital with our excellent guide Mando. We crossed by ferry to Barra what a experience this is proper Africa. Then in our jeep we traveled on to the Senegal border where we got our entry visa to Senegal. A thirty minute drive took us threw villages to the Fathala Game Reserve that encloses 2000 hectares of natural and protected forest were we saw Antelopes Rhinos Monkeys Zebra and Ostridge.Packed lunch and drinks were a plenty, and a good day was had by all, ow by the way max of six people on tour. If you want to see proper Africa i would definatly recomend this tour.

“WONDERFUL GAMBIA AND GREAT ARCH TOURS”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2010

My wife and I went to Gambia last December (2009) for the first time. we had a fantastic time, the people, the weather and the food (plus the Hotel) were all excellent.

We too did not want to book tours through the Tour Operator, and we (me rather hesiitantly) walked into Arch Tours. There we were met by two regular UK visitors to Gambia (and Arch tour customers - of course) who quickly assured us that Arch were the right people to book our Tours with.

We did, and we booked two and we shared our trips with other people from the UK including the two people we had first met in Arch Tours, before we were greeted by the Boss. The two people from the UK were good fun, and were doing trips they had already undertaked with Arch Tours during previous visits to Gambia.

We visted Senegal / Crocodiles / Lamin Lodge / Paradise Beach but to name only a few.

The boys (and Girls) at Arch Tours were great!

Quite honestly we could not fault any part of our Gambian Experience Holiday or any of the Tours with Arch.

Exellent value for money - all round.

Can't wait to get back there again in December 2010, when we plan to book at least 2 more Arch Tours (probably the Senegal Safari and the Roots Tour).

Finally, if you fly with Thomas Cook , two people are allowed an extra 10 Kilo (1 bag) luggage (in total) allowance to take bits and pieces (pens / pencils/ rubbers / sweets) etc for the kids at the schools or the orhanages or just to hand them (or throw them) from the jeeps when out with Arch Tours.
