We stayed for 10 lovely days with friends in this hotel, and loved every minute of it! Where should i start? the staff was extremely helpful, friendly. rooms are spacious, we had with a view to the front gardens n pool, was beautiful! the food also was good, there are only a couple of bars in the hotel n a couple of restaurants. hotels is quite small, 2 floors, but it has everything you need, the territory is excellent, huge jacuzzi outside for 8 ppl with a roof so you dont get burnt. Pool is long enough for those who like wim non-stop. then there is a bar in the pool, and another pool for kids. There is a nightclub as well. Rooms are clean, cleaners are good, very quick to fix any problem you might have. There is only indian breakfast with fresh papaya, pineapple every morning. the beach is lovely. The palm trees surround the territory is wonderful. I'd defintely recommended to couples, for a romantic gateaway and also for people with kids. I would without a doubt, return to this hotel.

“Top Marks for the Kenilworth by Dan and Anand”

We arrived in India for a three week stay at the beginning of May, having sampled the delights India has to offer for the first week, including Delhi, Agra, Ahamdabad, to arrive in Goa, and be given a fantastic welcome by the Kenilworth was unexpected and the first of many great experiences to come.

Firstly I would totally recommend the Resort, I have stayed a few Resorts and Spas around the world, including those like the Marriot and Hyatt’s, but nothing can compare to the service and facilities the Kenilworth has to offer.

The staff are most considerate, reliable and friendliest I have ever encountered, I thank them all so much, for making our stay so truly magical. A special mention to Theresa who is Guest Relations Manager, on a daily basis Theresa would go out of her way to encourage us to sample the delights Goa has to offer, give us the low down of what’s hot and not, tell you where to Eat, where to Go, and make sure your stay in truly an amazing one. I truly recommend you speak to Theresa, she is amazing source of knowledge about Goa, Also I would say hi to Mose, who is the lifeguard. On a regular and daily basis he will make sure your towels are placed by the pool(s) and ready for your comfort to enjoy the fantastic weather and surroundings.

The resort is set amongst lush green surroundings which adds to the exclusiveness, set just back from the private beach, which is a two minute walk, the resorts offers a variety of diners and bars, all of which are only a short walk away, whether your by the beach, in the pool, enjoying the grounds, you are never more than a couple of minutes walk from enjoying some light refreshment of a tasty snack.

The rooms are very cool, fully air conditioned, which in itself an experience when arrive back from a hot day in the sun, they offer you a wide range of Satellite TV, including Indian, American, English, room service which is out of this world, and a good sense of security, the verandas are also worth mentioning, as they are private and you can enjoying relaxing and watching the sun go down.

There is a wide selection of food to cater for all tastes, the buffet every lunch and evening is an experience for those willing to taste traditional goan food, sample the varied cuisine from India or enjoy a traditional western dish, the food was cooked to a high standard and again, service unbeatable.

Our stay at the Kenilworth was truly an unforgettable one, I thoroughly recommend it and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

We would defiantly love to go back, without any consideration; the resort is what dreams are made of.

“Brilliant Hotel”

We arrived in Goa on April 2nd having flown in from our base in Mumbai. Flights to Goa on Jet or Kingfisher are the best and if you book locally are much cheaper. I had been in touch with the hotel directly and as promised there was a representetive waiting to pick us up in a smart clean car. In our group we had 4 adults and 4 children. On arrival we were given a welcome drink and once the formalaties were taken care of we were escorted to our rooms. Our room was towards the front of the hotel above the car park (not an issue) and it was big & clean. The bed was huge and could sleep three easily, we also had an extra folding bed for our daughter still the room was not congested. Our room also had a large balcony with good cane furniture. The bathroom was a good size with the usual hotel extras including tooth brush, comb, shower gel, shampoo, moisturer and talc. These were replaced as and when. On the first night the flush faile to work and so i called down to the relevant department and within 20 minutes the in house engineer had replaced the flush and gone. The hotel has afew shops selling ornaments and various nick nacks but i am sure you could buy those at half the price in town. The breakfast in the morning is just great and we had a choice of fresh fruit, fruit juices, full English breakfast, eggs made to order, a choice of local dishes which i would recomend you try, fresh croissants & pastries. All this served with a smile always. The swimming pools are very clean and there is a kids pool with a water slide. Outside there is also a swim up bar and a covered outdoor jacuzzi. Past the swimming pool and a 3 minute walk and you arrive at the beach which is good & clean. At the beach there are afew shacks which we did not get to try unfortunately. There were a few hawkers from whom we bought good qualoity T shirts and some cheap jewellery for my daughters friends. Remember to bargain though. On one of the days we organised a banana boat ride and jet skis, this is through the hotel, the shack before you step on the beach to the right. The equipment is good, safe and value for money. In the evening dinner was buffet and serverd on the hotel lawns accompanied by live entertainment. The food is good and there is something for everyone.

One two of the days we took a trips to Panjim and to the Spice Farm. In Panjim our driver took us to Bombay Bazar where we shopped (fixed prices). I bought trousers that were altered and ready for collection within 30 minutes, we also bought ornaments here. We also visited the Xavier's Church. The Spice Farm was an intresting trip, very cheap with luch encluded fr only RS 300.00 per head.

Special thanks at the hotel to Farida who is on hand during meal times.

By the way check before you stay at the hotel as i was told by the Manager that building work is due to begin to create two new resturants by the reception area. I don't think it effect you as this is area is away from the resturant and the bar.

I spoke to the Manager of the hotel who is actually English and pointed out that whilst the hotel is excellent our stay was made beter by the smiling faces of her staff and the service they gave.

I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for 10 days April 2007. Great Hotel - very well presented and easy to get around. The hotel is on two levels for the rooms with a lower level for the pool and breakfast area.

The hotel food was very good but a little on the expensive side, the local restaurants were 50% of the price, as a family of 4 we had trouble spending over £15 on a meal outside the hotel - we did try. I can recommend Paracin just outside the hotel, Sinatra Chilli 10 min walk from the hotel and Martins Corner 15 min by taxi (you will need to book). Avoid the Zee Bop beach restaurant - very expensive and not worth the effort getting there.

The taxi's ouside the hotel are all on a fixed rate so you know what you are getting before you start. The drivers are helpful and considerate. We used the taxi to take us on tours of Goa, never paid more than £25 for the whole day including a tip. They will stop were you want and wait as long as you want them to.

Enjoy the holiday and say hello to Lourdes in the breakfast restaurant, she was so helpful and made sure the children were looked after every morning.

“Loved the Kenilworth.”

Kenilworth Beach Resort & Spa

Just been to Goa for first time. Monarch crew were really friendly and helpful but the seats are so so narrow and uncomfortable, glad we booked extra leg room as it was needed. First impression not too good as 2 guys grabbed our bags at airport to carry to minibus which was a minute away from airport, we were expecting this and gave them £1 each but instead of being happy with this, they kept insisting on more! They argued for ages before eventually going away. Other people also were not happy at this. Anyway on to the hotel, this was lovely and well worth the cost. We stayed at The Kenilworth Beach Hotel in Salcette in South Goa. The rooms were lovely with a big balcony and very clean and had lots of little extras in the bathroom. The breakfast had everything you could think of to eat, the swim up pool bar was great for a nice cold drink and the evening buffet was outside and the choice was great, although a little limited if you don't like spicy food all the time. There was evening entertainment outside and even a firework display a couple of times. I can't speak too highly of the staff, they were excellent, always friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool was fantastic, clean and very big with a jaccuzi. Towels were provided and comfy sunbeds and plenty of shade to get out of the red hot sun. The waiters at the snack bar came round to see if drinks were wanted and also gave free fresh watermelon. The spa was absolutely fantastic, again the staff were so helpful and friendly and the treatments were great. Just the thing after a hard day sunbathing! We used the taxis from the hotel and found them to be cheaper than the ones outside and the drivers were great and waited for us in town if we required. We went to Zeebops beach shack and the tiger prawns were awesome and so nice to walk along the beach and watch the sun go down. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a get away from it all holiday. The casino consisted of approx 9 machines but provided a pleasant hour in a cool environment. There is a small games room and a pool table. The disco is now sound proofed and didn't cause too much of a problem. The grounds are kept in great condition and lead straight onto the beach. The dogs on there were friendly and did not cause any problems or noise. Checking out was straight forward and quick and we had no problems with the bill or taxes. All in all, this is a great hotel used by the Monarch aircrew also and quite a lot of Russians but I would not hesitate in recommen ding to anyone.
