“My Memorable Experience in India”

Lemon Tree Hotel City Center

1 Jan 2008

Lemon Tree in City Center.
The Staff at the Lemon Tree , City Center location was AMAZING! I have never stayed in a hotel that treated me like I was the only guest in the entire hotel. Everyone was wonderful, attentive, caring and most of all thoughtful. Thank you for making my first experience in India a memorable one. I know that if I would travel to India again, I would definately stay at this location again. The entire staff was so wonderful, I mentioned it more to eveyone back in the states instead of all my other experiences there. I will always remember everyone there.

“Not Safe at all”

Lemon Tree Hotel City Center

I managed to get room at this hotel after exchanging lot of e-mails with their reservations. My flight landed in morning in India & hotel driver drove me from airport to hotel. When I first saw the hotel, I got a shock. Hotel is located right in center of open area & no building could be seen around it. It is totally secluded from other buildings & road which leads to hotel is also dark & dingy. In the morning you see strange people walking on road around the hotel and even people eating at roadside food stall just next to hotel. At night time I could only see 1 guard at main door & area around hotel totally dark,no street lights & not safe at all.
One can't even walk outside the hotel after late evening.

Anyways , hotel service standards are good. I was met by their Hotel Manager at time of check-out to whom I explained my issues. While my driver drove me off to airport, I saw Hotel Manager & some other hotel staff eating & smoking at same food stall outside the hotel. I was totally surprised.....

I stayed at this location for four days and found the staff to be very responsive to my needs; the manager made himself available when required.

The rates are reasonable considering the other options in the area. Wireless is flawless and also reasonably priced. The rooms are spotless and well designed for the business traveler.

The cafe provides several choices from most every international cuisine, so you're bound to find something you will enjoy.

When in the area, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. This is a fast growing chain that listens to its customers and with this approach they will certainly succeed!

Minneapolis based but airborne often

This is an adequate "business" hotel - facilities are at best 3-star and probably closer to 2-star. Rooms are clean but small and walls are not soundproof to say the least, beds are hard, desk is miniscule, wi-fi works and is reasonably priced, no hair dryer or clock in the room, restaurant is average at best - none of the normal business amenities and absolutely NOT great value for the price. Staff is young and pleasant but inexperienced. View is unappealing at best.

After having specifically reserved a non-smoking room, I was told on arrival that one was not available and front desk staff was unable to manage the forex process easily. All in all, I'd rate this a "C" at best and maybe even a C-!

A hotel somewhere

A not too dreadful boutique (i.e.small) business hotel in Gurgaon. Hotel has good Wi-Fi and reasonable car hire rates (R600 for 4hours/40km in the ever comfortable Indica, other cars are more). Rooms are clean and bright, restaurant dull but OK There is construction on one lot next door. The other lots I'm sure will be built up in a year. The bar is OK and the bartenders actually have a bit of personality! Good restaurant, Vatika Grand is w/in walking distance or have the hotel car drop you for a few rupees. (Always a good idea at night).
