I loved the hotel. The staff was wonderful as was my room. Breakfast was my favorite meal of the day and the staff took great care to memorize my favorite food items. Room service was also grand.

Lodging in India can be unpredictable. When you jot about the world like I do, you really appreciate a good night's rest. Thankfully the Trident Hilton made me feel comfortable.

It was also relatively near the airport, which I also appreciated.

Stayed here while working in and around Bhubaneshwar in horribly hot June weather, just before the monsoon. Very clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant, lovely garder and decent facilities made it a nice place to come home to in the evenings. Needed: a bookshop or library!
The only really good hotel in Bhubaneshwar, as far as I could tell, although nearby Mayfair Lagoon seems OK too.

The Trident is on the international plastic standard with a twist. Designed to be elegant, the architect and interior decorator just miss, but it's not...bad. Rooms are comfortable, the dining room was okay, and my slightly uptight traveling companions were glad to be in airconditioning and out of the rest of India. The pervasive mosquito spray was, I am sure, better than the alternative mosquitos, but gave me a headache.
