A hawker approached me and I with caution agreed to stay at this hotel. The first night turned out reasonable with a good night sleep and a good meal on the roof top. Disaster came when I joined one of their tours to do camel riding where they had no control of outcome and or did they care what happened to me on this tour. The tour started 20 minutes late, the tour did not come with an English speaking guide and so some attractions were not seen as he could not tell me where or for how long I could stay, I was standing around 45 minutes waiting for my camel to arrive, I didn't have a camel on my own as the boy (yes child labor) was on the back spitting more than the camel and asking for a tip before I even sat on one, he then left me stranded in the desert sands without direction or connecting vehicle, and the dunes were among tourists even though I was told they would not be. Did I mention that my car driver was nose picking and snot flicking! What made things worse was that on return I complained to the hotel manager that others on the tour had paid half less than what I had (and of whom were also dissatisfied) looking for a partial refund and they did not care or in some way compensate me. I was even catching a tuk tuk to the train station to travel onward that night and they didn't even pay the 40 rs for the fare. So in summary, they are cheap, dishonest, and non caring about you. I myself work in the tourism business and although I've had my fare share of bad services, I don't write often about them. But in this case I could not allow them to get away with murder and destroy the pleasure and beauty that Jaisalmer has to offer.
Don't, just stay away from these cheats as they only want to draw you in to take money from you...
