This is honestly my favorite hotel in the whole entire world, and I've been to quite a few. From the moment you get there, the experience is simply magical. The courtyard is beautiful and rose petals are showered on you from above, which is quite an incredible sight. There are long yellow flags flying from the majestic towers of the palace and little outlooks stick out of the high palace walls. The rooms and surrounding areas are awe-inspiring. I spent hours exploring every nook and cranny of this hotel and stumbled across this mirrored mosaic-covered room that had superb views of Delwara and the hills beyond. Even this tiny little room was buffed to perfection and equipped with floor pillows! I spent a good many hours relaxing in my own little oasis working on my computer, because like every other inch of the property, there was free WiFi access!! There were not many other guests there which made it all the more worthwhile. Not to mention our room was amazing too, with a little covered balcony-room-thing hanging out over the edge of the wall, beautifully painted, and a perfect little place for morning coffee and the sunrise. The bedroom was well-equipped with free WiFi, a flat-screen T.V, and Bose iPod speakers, and the bathtub was filled with rose petals every night at turn-down service for an evening bath. The bathroom was also equipped with a shower.
The one area I think needs improvement is the food. However, the drinks, dinner flute music, and waitstaff were marvelous, and Prathvi, a waiter at the Devi Garh, deserves a special mention for befriending us and taking us around his village with a friend of his, a local boy who was only 13. He enjoyed practicing his English and we enjoyed talking to him and seeing his village!
The amenities at this hotel are also incredible, and include: a ping pong table, pool table, library, and even a business center with two computers!
Also, the pool was warm and inviting even in January, and my mom said she enjoyed the spa very much!!
All in all, this hotel is an absolute must, and it is totally worth it to make a trip to Udaipur, even India, just for this hotel, so DON'T MISS IT!!! :D
All the rooms are fantastic, although my one tip is that you must explore! You'll be pleasantly...
