I have been at the Trident Agra for the past 2 days and will be here for another 1.5 days. It feels as I am at home.
Yes its the Oberoi Group and the average room nights will be heavy on the wallet, but the service from reservation to the follow up by front office for a car pick up to the check in exceeded my expectation.
The concern when I asked for ratia with roti for dinner made me feel warm. The staff was concerned that I was going to bed on a empty stomach. Alas I told him, I was on a self inflicted diet.
I stayed at the ITC Mughal on my last visit to Agra. It falls short on all accounts as a 5 star hotel. I believe the rating for the ITC Mughal has dropped further.
For the room nights please check on trip advisor and the the hotel website for the best deals. Additionally give a call to their central reservations to enquire about any packages.
Check out the Taj Mahal at sun rise. The counter opens at 6 am and a short walk (for those living in Delhi, as long as one round of Lodhi Gardens) from the hotel. Completely safe walk. Check with the front desk for the entry fee.
