An excellent hotel with very nice rooms and excellent service. Our stay was particularly enjoyable as the butlers (Ila and Trevor) were always there to look after us and take care of the children.

It’s certainly a nice hotel with very good service all round, especially in the bar and restaurants. It’s also got pleasant gardens to get away from the craziness of Agra. The food in Peshawari was some of the best we’ve ever had in India and has a good reputation with the more affluent locals.
This all said for us there was just something missing. I’d suggest it was the fact that when coming to visit Agra and particularly the Taj Mahal you’re probably looking for a romantic time. If that’s the case then splash out for the Oberoi – having also stayed there it is very special – but come here for the restaurants.

Stayed at the Mughal for 2 nights in a deluxe suite. The external architecure of the hotel is very dated, but inside its lovely. The suite was perfect, very well appointed and with a view of the Taj Mahal - when the smog lifted. The staff were excellent with great attention to detail. Dinner in the Peshawri was memorable, lunch in the buffet restaurant very forgettable.

I stayed for one night in October 2009. Wonderful service from all staff, and the room itself was beautiful. I enjoyed all my meals, especially dinner at Peshawri...wow that was amazing! No need to repeat whats been said before so I'll keep it short with a "two thumbs up"!
