It was interesting to see the monkeys wandering among us without a care in the world. If you want, you can feed them with the help of the sanctuary workers. The entrance fee is IDR 20,000/person.
There is also a temple inside which you can visit. We donated IDR 10,000 and in exchange we were given two sarongs to enter the temple.
After taking a few photos, we decided to rest for a bit and while my husband was enjoying his time there, a monkey jumped on his back and tried to steal his sunglasses (he had placed them on his head). He didn't want to let them go, so the monkey bit him. Fortunately, a worker at the entrance gave him an antiseptic and told us the monkeys don't have rabies as they are controlled, so no need for a vaccine.
Remember not to bring any food or drinks, not even in your bags, because the monkeys will jump on you to get it.
