I spent my wedding anniversary with my wife last month at this resort. Overall, I am quite happy with it and would not mind recommending it to someone who needs a short break from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you're coming from Singapore, there is no need to bring any Indonesian rupiah as the Sing dollar appears to be the preferred currency. In fact, if you pay in rupiah, it is obvious that the exchange rate used is highly unfavorable. (Luckily, I brought along enough Sing dollars).
There has been some mention about the sheltered pool in this forum. I can confirm this and further tell you that it is right behind the Dragon Inn Chinese restaurant and the pool closes at 8pm. The pool is clean though someone from outside the fence can easily peer in (not that there's likely to be anyone in that part of the island!)
The buffet breakfast is pretty decent and so's the pool view. What I liked most was the Tea tree spa with the heated outdoor jacuzzi! Do give it a try if you're into such enjoyments.
I had dinner at the outdoor Jap teppanyaki restaurant (opens only after 7pm), I ordered the yakiniku set which was so so only but the martini was most welcome ($4 per shot). Unfortunately, I also had to feed a clan of mosquitoes judging from the numerous bite marks on my legs after that.
Overall, I am quite happy with this place and the friendly staff (though I'd say its rival, Harris, seem to notch a slightly higher score there), especially for families with kids who'll definitely love the pool.
Cheers!
