When we arrived for our honeymoon, the first room was a disaster. Everything in the room broke down, the shower stopped working, the curtains were not closing properly, ants all thru the room........on complaining to the manager on duty.....we got upgraded to a sunset view room......but that was at our expense........my wife was sick & the manger charged us 1700 thai baht for a dinner buffet that we didnt even attend to.....management would not let us check out until this fee was paid...........totally uncalled for..........
mangement are all horrible ppl who do not have any idea of customer service........they have no idea.........
if i have it my way, many friends and family will never stay at this hotel..............
since arriving back home, i have tried to make contact with the hotel to be only falling down on deaf ears...........
i would recommend that anyone who wishes to stay here NOT to stay there.......it is a horrible place to stay with absolutely no customer service whatsoever............

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 19 days. It is in a great location. Staff are friendly, thats the only nicest things to say...

but hotel policies are appauling. Laundry service was good, but pricey for females who's clothing is of less material then males but you pay more. Food wise it needs to step this up and change it around a little, Bacon in the morning was very disappointing. Upon leaving the hotel we were kindly advised that markings from a recent tattoo on a pillow case and the bedding we would have to pay for!!!! They explained it would not come out in the wash and they did not even attempt to try (it came out in a white shirt that we took home) There is nowhere in any of the hotels paperwork that stipulates that you pay for the linen!!! We paid AUS$85 for it this just highlights that this hotel is seeking money for every little thing. The hotel is also in need to upgrade and minor repairs. The toilet in the suites very odd...........

My wife and I stayed in this Hotel from 10 - 19 February 2008. We arrived late on the 10th and was very tired and looked forward to a good night's sleep. We were booked in the wing very close to the Banana Night Club. When we went to bed it sounded as if the band was playing in the room next door. The music carried on until two that morning. I complained to the manager or supervisor in the morning about the noise and asked to be moved to another room. We got a much better room but had to pay extra and we had to attend the Valentine's dinner. We did not mind to pay extra because the purpose of our holiday was to enjoy ourselves but also to rest and we realised that it would be impossible to rest in a room so close to a band playing till very late. The location of the hotel is within walking distance from the beach and the shops - just be careful when they book you in because they will give you a room close to Banana and then you have to pay extra if you do not like loud music.

Stayed at the Patong Beach Hotel on recommendation of Travel Agent.
We had stayed at the Le Meridan Phuket on a previous occassion, but this time wanted to be more central to Patong Beach area. Tried to stay at the Holiday Inn but could not obtain a triple share, as we had our daughter travelling with us.

On arrival we were shown to our room on the Siam wing, we found that the room was very cramped with very tired decor. We also found that the main bed was two single beds pushed together & the doona's were also single bed size thrown across the bed sideways, so our feet hung out the end.

We could at times hear the Disc Bar next door till the early hours. Stayed for 4 nights.

Tried to get upgraded but the staff were not helpful at all.

We paid a high tariff for what we would consider equal to a 2-3 star hotel/Motel in Aust.

Would we stay again. No way. Would put up with being away from the Patong Beach area & stay back at the Le Meridian, which was all class.
