The ONLY thing I will say about the place is - why on earth put carpet in the rooms? It's a HOT place and wood looks much more attractive! We had a deluxe (which I think is the most basic) room which was completely fine, cleaned every day with a TV and airconditioning and a balcony. The view from the balcony was great, it's an extraordinarily lush green place, you would not know you're in the heart of Phuket's busiest town because it's so tranquil! The lobby of the hotel looked really posh and after a 13 hour flight we just flopped into one of the nice chairs and waited for our key. The only downside was that the lobby was open sided, and September is in the rainy season, and my God did it RAIN. They were continually slooshing the floor until the downpours stopped!

The pool that was open was gorgeous and I think when the other pool is finished it will be even lovlier, it was HUGE! Service around the pool is spot on with the snacks and drinks and the staff were really lovely - we tipped all of them every time and they do appreciate it.

PATONG - Sadly a victim of over commercialism and too many 'orrible tourists! But I sort of knew that when I booked so it wasn't a shock. I think - eek - it was more so than Chaweng in Koh Samui. The beach certainly wasn't as good in Patong and I felt like I was being hustled everywhere I went - which I probably was! We did have fun though, the main strip is quite a sight to behold - not for the faint hearted or the prudish! The food wasn't great cop BUT we ate many times in the Travel Inn (was it a Travel Inn?? It was one of those sort of things anyway) restaurant which was a lovely open air terrace place near our hotel. Really lovely food and the bill was about £15-20 including wine. Alot for Thailand I know but the seafood was delicious!

Just not a great place to stay!

The construction work literally goes on throughout the whole night. You can only laugh about the fact there are people working on these new buildings with nothing more than torches and what seems a very loud hammer.

When it is complete it will be a lovely resort, but it is no where near finished. No spa and about 100 more rooms to build.

Breakfast was distinctly average but pool food was good.

The porters and concierge were very helpful but the check in staff could not have been less friendly and try to get more money out of you than the local ladies. Check everything is in your room or you will pay for it!

Also my top tip is not to pay for any excursions at the hotel it will be twice the price of paying for the same trip at the agency stalls in town.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We booked it through GTA and our travel agent. Our travel agent was awesome but she didn't know this place sucked!!

There was constant construction!! One of the pools was closed. It is a 7 minute walk to the beach where you will hear cries of masssssaaaaaagggeeee and taaaaaxxiii....(but that is everywhere in Patong)

The first section they put us in looked like an inner city hotel complete with stained carpets and dirty sinks across from another dingy hotel. We paid to upgrade to the better section that you coudl hear a jackhammer going from 6:45am to 11:30pm at night. It sucked! Plus they claimed to have tv channels in english (a lie!!) and it was impossible to get beach towels. I scraped my legs in the crazy dirty pool (it is very wavy at the beach in august, full of riptides but we could only holiday at this time).

Nobody cared that is sucked. The breakfast was gross!

GTA didn't care that we weren't happy either.

There are way better places to stay. Their website is full of fake pictures!

At last, we found a hotel in Phuket in the Patong area which had great family accommodation. We booked the duplex rooms and were not disappointed. Upstairs was a lovely king bed with huge lovely bathroom and downstairs (spiral staircase) was another king bed with shower room. Both rooms had large flatscreen TV . One had a DVD too. Very nicely decorated with a terrace that overlooked the pool. The beds are quite hard though !.

The brekky was just ok - foul tea - but the same everywhere in Thailand. The pool bar was good, reasonably priced food and drinks. Lovely pools. The largest pool is being renovated for Xmas but looks like it will be an absolute cracker when its re-opened.

Location is superb, a short walk from everything. but truly peaceful and quiet.

the only spa facilities i could see was the matresses laying on the floor under a gazebo near the pool for massages. No separate spa area, so not quite my cup of tea.

They even gave us a FREE !!! late checkout as we were on a tour that day and wanted a shower before our trip to the airport. Result !!

A real gem of a resort. Not much to fault really. Would highly recommend this place, especially for its family rooms and location.
