My wife and I together with our extended family including 3 grandkids aged 5 to 8 have just returned from a 3 week stay at the Duangjitt Resort. This is our second stay at this resort, the last being 2 years ago. Value for money this resort is excellent. It is large and the grounds are immaculately kept. There are 3 swimming pools, the main pool is huge. There is plenty of room to find a lounger and have a swim etc. The resort is an excellent place to unwind and relax. You would never think that just outside the main gate the hustle and bustle of Patong begins. Bars, Massage, Money Exchanger, Pharmacy, shops selling your usual tee shirts, shorts, dresses etc, eating places ( recommend the Shark Bar) a 7/11 shop and the beach about 300 meters from the resort entrance. The resort is well located to walk to or take a Tuk Tuk to Otop Markets, Jungecelyon Shopping Complex or Bangla Road. The staff at the Resort are excellent. They are friendly and always have a smile and greeting and make a fuss of the children. Checkin/out easy, friendly and helpful. We found the breakfasts excellent and should meet most peoples needs. This time we had a Superior Room interconnecting with our daughter and grandaughters room ( rooms 9137 and 9138) We found these rooms on the ground floor to be very good. In fact excellent if you consider they are the cheapest rooms available. They have a large balcony unlike the half balcony on the Garden Delux Rooms we stayed in on our last visit. Being in a groundfloor room meant the kids could play on the lawn in front of the balcony while we enjoyed a drink or 2. The bathroom etc is fully enclosed. The room is well located with an excellent view from the balcony. They are a short distance from the main pool and reception also breakfast restaurant. The walk to the main gate is a little further but as I said the paths and gardens are well kept and interesting. Rooms 9138 are the ground floor 9238 first floor 9338 third floor. Staying in this resort and Patong is very central. Things to do and see include Fantasea, Simon Cabaret, Otop Markets, Phuket weekend (sat/sun) night markets,Jungeceylon Shopping Centre, Bangla Road for a night walk, elephant rides, snake and monkey shows. Dino Park mini golf (excellent if you love dinosaurs) Plus a visit to Tesco Supermarket and Central Shopping Plaza in Phuket. We have no hesitation in recommending the Duangjitt Resort. If anyone has any questions please contact me. As I always say with any holiday and accommodation you will have your highs and lows, enjoy the highs and get over move on from your lows.
