Stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon.

Good location at the begining of Patong, bit quieter with a number of restaurants and bars within easy reach.

The hotel itself is very big and we stayed in a deluxe seaview room in the main building, room 1416. The room itself was large, good bathroom etc however, you need good eyesight to see the sea!!

Pool and grounds of the hotel are fantastic, plenty of beds, and kept clean.

Breakfast was usual buffet fare, good choice but busy busy.

Found serving staff etc to be great, reception needs work as not helpful if you have an issue.

We have just returned from our 4th holiday in phuket of which our last hotel was the phuket graceland spa and resort..
It was a fantastic hotel..My son and his girlfriend couldnt believe the size of the place.. The lobby was like a palace.. The swimming pool was huge complete with a swim up bar and there was even a upstairs pool on top of the restaurant over looking the grounds..
What took the cake was a 8 lane ten pin bowling alley... excellent for those lazy afternoons when there was a shower or 2..
The buffet breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone..
Location to beach was fantastic as it was only a walk across the road to patong beach.. Right in front of the hotel was jetski hire and parasailing we did both...
I highly recommend this hotel as it was very reasonably priced and is now a hotel on the flightcentre australia list of hotels which they can do as package deals with the flights...
Another plus with location is you are only a 5 min walk to all of the hustle and bustle and all of the shops of patong where you really need to sharpen up your haggling skills...
Rock city is within the 5 min walk and that is a great place for live bands every night.. Lots of cover band music from metallica to ac/dc to bon jovi and they do a great job..
Restaurants are in plentiful supply with one of our favourite being the Sabai Beach right on the beach itself.. even the tables and chairs are on the sand.. Great for watching the sunset..

We stayed at Graceland from Dec 16 2007 for two weeks we are experienced Thailand visitors so we can compare.First of all I must say that we had some luck we booked in last minute and it was really a bargain so I didn't expect much,first of all we receivedd a deluxe room with a nice view over the pool and the andaman sea,the reception staff are very polite and helpfull(I try to speak a little bit thai i can assure you they appreciate this effort very much,we wher brought to our room with a golf caddy by a very helpfull bell boy.The room is nice but the furniture is very cheap,the airco is very noisy and the bedding very hard(i like hard matrasses but this one is more like a brick,room was very clean,very nice bathroom,room service is fast and very cheap,breakfast is ok ,cooking staff very friendly,if you need coffee,give a few smiles to the waitress and be very friendly otherwise they ignore you(remember it is avery big hotel and not all the clients are very friendly to the staff.I have seen some reviiews from people expecting five star service for a three star price,if you want five stars expect to pay five time the price of Graceland and go To The Amanpuri or The Banyan if you can afford it.For a big hotel it is good value for money

My wife and I went to Graceland on Honeymoon in January 2007 and it was good choice ! Especially for the location the hotel was magnificent . It is in a quiet location about ten mins from the centre of Patong (or 100bht in a tuk tuk).The sea is so close- just cross the road.Room is very good:(of course depends on the type of the room) large,with balcony,clean,consists all necessary accesories with excellent pools and very good gym.
On the other hand the reception staff was sometimes unprofessional in its attitude towards us(many misunderstandings due to language and rude) and the aircondition was extremely noisy. The first night we didn't sleep.
