A mate of mine and I stayed here for 10 nights. At first we thought it was a bit off, but after a couple of days we were fine. You must remember that for only $25 (AUS) per night, there was no reason to complain. Our air-cons worked, rooms were clean, king size bed was comfortable, phone worked, shower & toilet were ok, staff were very friendly (except for one lady who had just started there), pool was refreshing and the food was good. The breakfast could have been more appealing. It consisted of eggs any style, bacon, rice, some Thai dishes, fruit, oj, milk, pancakes, french toast, bread, jams, butter, cereal, tea & coffee, but not on the one day. Tv viewing was limited to about 6 channels, with only 3 in english. My hint for single people wishing to have someone extra in their room, be it for one hour or overnight, please ensure that you pay through your travel agent for a double/twin room, which is only $4 (AUS) extra per night. If you don't, you will be hit with a on the spot 500 BHT fee. The position of the motel is great, with all the shopping, bars and entertainment at your fingertips. Oh, and the motel also has 2 lifts. Remember, you really only sleep or rest in your room, as there is much to do in Phuket.

This was advertised on the website I booked with as a 3 star hotel, and with the best will in the world, I'm sure even the people writing reasonable reviews here would not agree with that! At best it's a mediocre 2 star, and we had the same problems as others such as A/C not working properly, torn bed linen and towels, torn shower curtain and non functioning bedside light. We also had the added bonus of an ant infestation for the last couple of days, which we reported 3 times and they were still there when we left. The floors in the public area, particularly around reception and to the lift, are filthy.

As a basic hotel it's OK, but I would have preferred to have had an accurate star rating, then paid a bit more to stay somewhere decent.

As part of a QANTAS/Viva Holidays package, we were excited to be so close to the action of Patong Beach - and indeed, the location is the best thing going for this hotel.

Unfortunately it's hard to say much more that is positive about our 9 night stay at this place - like others on Trip Advisor, we checked-in with an incorrect room (twin, not double as requested), ripped towels and sheets, a rather average breakfast buffet, and were woken frequently by indiscreet and rather noisy late (2-5am) guests.

Four days into our stay (after much pleading) we were moved into a double room on the 2nd floor which ironically brought more disappointment - we could hear the hotel's water pump kick in and out every 3 hours, and the 24-hour receiption and clanging of the kitchen are well within ear shot. More ripped sheets and towels.

But then, for under AUD$30 per night - do we have a right to complain? As I mentioned above, the location is fantastic if you're planning to spend most of your time in Patong, and the price is right if you're a heavy sleeper and on a budget, but in the future we'll be booking our own accommodation and spending a little more for a quality and comfortable stay.

A disappointing stay! The reception staff were unfriendly; the room was dark and smelt damp. We were given thread-bare beach towels and the phone constantly rang in the corridor where we stayed. We certainly won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.
