If you are on a budget and are looking for a nice clean place to lay your head, look no further. The reviews on this hotel are very accurate, but to sum them up: This is a basic 3-star hotel, it's clean, and the people who run it are friendly. That being said, think twice if you are looking for a high quality romantic spot on the beach (our friends stayed at the Banthai, which is more appropriate for higher expectations). The PB is rustic and a 2 block walk from the beach. It's nice and quiet and if you splurge on a garden room ($50 extra total for 9 nights for us), then you get the feel you are away from the hustle and bustle of it all. The pool is a great lounge spot as well. The breakfast buffet is basic and is pretty much the same every day. We didn't eat there at any other time, but cheap restaurants and food vendors are literally steps from your doorway. And because it isn't on the sea-side main drag, restaurants and services (ie. massages) tend to be less expensive. Knowing what we do about the place, we would stay there again.
