My partner and I spent 10 nights at the Vincci Flora Park and we were pleasantly suprised at how wonderful our accomodation was considering how cheap our holiday with Thomas Cook was.
Being 22 years old and my partner 23 we found that our stay at the hotel was fantastic. We were thoroughly impressed with our bedroom, extreamly well presented to a modern and stylish standard, comfortable beds, exceptionally clean (cleaning ladies cleaned the room and changed our towels every morning and presented a lovely towel heart sculpture upon clean sheets when we came back from our 2 day excursion to the Sahara- a definate must might I add!!) Bathroom was very clean and beautifully decorated with hot water running all the time. We asked for a sun balcony and was given a view of a few palm trees which didn't put us off as we were out most of the time.
The hotel itself is beautiful and spacious. A warm and jaw dropping reception with amazing decor,(when we first arrived we were greeted with a lovely glass of juice and a very smiley member of staff who grabbed our bags and showed us to our room) a lovely dining area with a great selection of Tunisian meals but also some well known foods such as potatoes, pastas and salads. We found the food to be exceptionally good without a repetitive meal (which some have complained about on here) and the desserts were to die for. All light and fluffy with a great range. The breakfast buffets were equally as great, with a massive selection of foods from cereals to cooked breakfasts slurped down with a good cup of english tea or coffee. The bar adjacent to the dining area has a flatscreen 3D tv and pool table included. A lovely area to chill after filling yourself with great food . A local musician comes to the hotel a few nights every week for some evening entertainment in the bar but not much else evening entertainment went on. However we enjoyed going to dinner and sitting in the bar with a cup of tea afterwards during the evening after exploring the country, so entertainment wasn't important to us.
The outside area includes comfortable seating areas with plush cushions, a large (but cold during the middle of April) swimming pool with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and a great outdoor bar and dining area for those lunchtimes in the sunshine. All areas were kept clean and tidy and the foliage kept trimmed.
The staff were fantastic and up for a bit of banter, we tipped them 20 dinar at the end of our last evening meal for their excellent hospitality. My partner asked to see whether he could watch the football during the afternoon and they happily abliged and had some banter with him. The other members of staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile of their faces.
The spa within the hotel is a definate must with a wide range of different and exciting treatments at very good prices, we were recommended to try the Hammam with a body scrub which prepares the skin to enhance a longer tan and it was fabulous. The spa staff were again very friendly and made sure you were comfortable throughout your treatment. Afterwards they sit you down with a cup of tea and a magazine to unwind. The indoor swimming pool leads off from the spa which is beautifully warm and relaxing, with sunbeds situated in the same room. a little gym area is attached also with a good range of gym equipment.
Back in the reception there is a small and very authentic Tunisian seating area adjacent to the reception desk with plenty of shisha pipes and cushions and a small shop situated at the entrance. A tennis court is situated at the back of the outdoor swimming pool area which is kind of hidden away and a little unkept.
Overall my partner and I were very happy with this hotel and we had a fantastic holiday with Thomas Cook who arranged plenty of excursions for us to do.
Try and go for either a sun balcony or one facing the swimming pool for extra sunlight and beautiful...
