We arrived late at night and were put in a very small, shabby room with a dirty towel in the closet, a shower curtain with mold, and stained carpeting. I would have been able to let all that go, if it had not been for the giant cockroach that crawled across the bed. We did complain and we were put in a much nicer room with an ocean view we were not charged for. However, we had sugar ants in this room the whole time and not able to leave any food out. On a positive note, the gardens were beautiful and the beach fabulous. Most of the staff there were very friendly. Although, there was one man, who we thought was on staff, who hung around the hotel lobby and gift shop trying to talk people into a "free tour" around Hammamet for the new guests that happens only once a week. Needless to say, when we didn't go the first time he approached us, there conveniently was another tour the next day for hotel guests who missed out. My husband and I were duped by this and wound up in a basement of some store being aggressively pressured to by a carpet. I would NOT give this hotel a 4 star rating. It needs some serious work and they need to get rid of the guy in the lobby. In addition, a couple of parts of the hotel that were advertised were either not open or working. The pool-bar (where you can swim up and get a drink) was not open, nor was the grill at the main bar. This hotel has the potential to be really nice, but falls short.

I stayed at the Sheraton between 31st May-7th June. It was the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in. The service is exceptionally high, the food is absolutely amazing.
When me and my partner first saw our room we were overwhelmed! The room was huge, with a king size bed and we had room service every day.
The beach is beautiful and you could not ask for a better location. One tip though: Do not make any phone calls from your hotel room because it was SO expensive. Just outside the entrance to The Sheraton is a communications centre where there have pay phones, I would strongly advise you to go there instead.
'The London Pub' is right next to the entrance of the hotel, for exceptional hospitality I would recommend you to go there!! The owner is lovely and very friendly.
Me and my boyfriend are 21 and enjoyed the fact that the hotel is in a fairly quiet area, yet 5 minutes to a few English pubs and good nightlife (if you want it).
I would not advise anyone to go to the Hammamet Medina, it is full of children trying to get money off you, and they can be quite rude. The only reason we went into te Medina is because it is one of the few places you can buy alcohol. The Sheraton has customers that go there year after year, and once you have visited the amazing hotel you will know why.

I have truly enjoyed the exceptional hospitality of everyone at the Sheraton Hammamet Resort during our stay on April 22-27. Everyone made sure we had a great time and we certainly did. The hotel manager, Mr. Palacin, took the time to meet with us and made this vacation even more enjoyable and valuable. I have stayed in a lot of Sheratons, this is definitely one of the most friendly.

I have frequented this hotel over the past 4 years. I enjoy the great service and staff. The fresh sqeezd juice during registration is a nice touch. The pool is always clean with fresh towels at your disposal. There isn't much to do outside of the hotel, but overall I love this place. I highly recommend the Tuna Pizza, bizzare sounding but oh so good! The rooms are lovely and the beach is gorgeous!

I f you are looking for a four star hotel, this is not the place to go.Staff were nice enough but was really disappointed as I was expecting cleaner and grander.Otherwise if you are not bothered by class, this hotel would be fine, small and friendly.
