“No complaints at all”

Saadia Hotel

I can only say that you pay for what you get here and if you go wanting luxury then you are going to be dissapointed. All that said we did have a great holiday with very little to complain about. Food got slightly repetative towards the end of our break and I would recommend that you get down to the restaurant asap to avoid dissapointment. They seemed to run ouf of cutlery quite often aswell, bit of a pain but nothing too serious. Rooms were kept clean and tidy. I tipped my maid 5dinar at the end of my stay and she was so grateful and over whelmed, bless.

Beach was ok. Im not a lover of seaweed and there did seem to be rather alot. Camels on the beach also scared me, but Im just weak!

Nightlife was interesting. We basically made our own entertainment every evening. The staff worked their butts off every night to make sure everyone was happy... Some of the shows werent to everyones taste, but we took everything with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, The Saadia is great value for money, we are tempted to return but there are so many other places Ide like to see first!

I stayed in the Saadia hotel for two weeks from the 21st of October 2007 till 4th November. Having read the reviews on this site i was unsure what i had let myself in for.
The hotel reception and bar area is nicely decorated and clean. The staff are mostly polite although there is definatley predjudice agains A/I guests. My room was adequate and clean. I found the choice of food good and always found something to eat and the puddings were great. I did however suffer from stomach upset but unsure if cause was from food or swallowing pool water. The all inclusive drink choice was limited compared to what i have been used to but always found something to drink and if you were polite to bar staff they made you cocktails that were almost 100% alcohol.
Animation team was very small 4 guys the 1st week and 3 the 2nd , but they tried hard to involve you, night time shows were mainly karaoke, quizzes etc which i didn't attend.
The hotel is not really near anywhere but taxis are very cheap and Monastir and Sousse are not far away car. There is also the Safari pub / club five minutes away in taxi for good night out.
For the amount i paid for two weeks all inclusive, i think the accomodation was very reasonable and i don't understand people that seem to spend there whole holiday looking for things to complain about. Tunisia is a very poor country in AFRICA you have to expect there to be flies and mosquitos, different foods and safety standards.

“Do Not go there even if it seems a Bargain”

Saadia Hotel

Arrived on 30th oct 2007 for 2 weeks first appearance as the taxi pulled in looked good. The room allocated was dark and dismal, the corridors had no lighting or emergency lights, the bathroom was dirty and the tile grouting was black with dirt.
The food was enedible went to eat early every night and the food was cold, the chicken was pink, what was left from 1 meal appeared disguised as another dish at the next sitting. Lay your own table at all meals the dining room was alive with flies,
All inclusive was watered down beer undrinkable wine, and a choice of only 2 spirits both undrinkable.
Mozzies everywhere we were eaten alive and flies would settle all over you, around the pool was a death trap the paving and broken tiles.
How do they call theselves a 3 star hotel we stay in a 3 star in Sousse on 10 earlier trips and it was fantastic.
What do the tour operators call for with health and safety within these hotels, this hotel would ne severely compromised if it were in the UK.
No wonder people were ill we are still not feeling well nearly a week on

“Never again.”

Saadia Hotel

9 Nov 2007

My partner and I stayed at the Saadia from 31st Oct - 7th Nov and would have to agree with the bad reviews perviously posted.

Firstly, we both managed to get food posioning (along with many other guests) from the luke warm, vile food. Due to the location, we did not eat anywhere else, so it was definately a problem with the hotel food. As it was the end of season we were probably unfortunate enough to get all of the scrap stock they were trying to get rid of. Food consisted mostly of bizarre looking meat, just about anything you can name which is made with eggs and salad. I don't recommend any of it, considering you don't know what water the salad is washed in. We ended up living off of chips and bread.

The location is only convienent as it is 5 minutes from the airport (be warned you can hear the planes, although this wasn't a concern for us). Cabs into Sousse and Monastir are cheap and always available. The location didn't suit us personally as there was absolutely nothing to do. No bars, no shops, no restuarants. With us being unwell, we couldn't travel far, so had to spend every minute of our holiday bored and in the same hotel that poisioned us!

Entertainment was a handful of guys trying their hardest to keep people happy. Good effort guys but it did wear a bit thin by the end! All of the staff were generally friendly and spoke good English, can't really complain.

The room was dated, but just about comfortable. The plumbing is hillarious, made a dreadful noise! Our room was cleaned and towels changed daily, which was great, and the cleaners were lovely.

Overall, I wouldn't bother. We would never return here.
