We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our 4 day safari trip and I was pleased when we arrived as I liked the look of the hotel- It reminded us of Bedrock for some reason.
The room was ok (apart from the towel rail hanging off the wall by its screws and the showerhead being broken) and was clean with a small balcony and nice windows with shutters.
Clean towels and bedding and the maid came to tidy and make the beds.
Our only problem was the food and the flies.
On the last night they gave us a set menu where we had no choice what we ate and I was served pork (which I dont eat- Im veggie!) a salad that nobody wanted to touch and Brik with almost raw egg inside. The next day the whole safari group had bad stomachs and were off our food.
This affected the rest of the holiday for my boyfriend and I as we ended up with diarrhoea and pain till the rest of our holiday right until we got home (even now im still getting cramps & my boyfriend isnt 100%).
I was annoyed at having to pay almost 20 Dinars for tummy tablets (about £10) to try and relieve our problem.
The restaurant was FILLED with big bluebottle flies which landed on us, the food, the cutlery, the drinks, the bread.
We could barely eat without them in our face & I was horrified.
I told my partner that if we had the choice I would have walked out and gone elsewhere but we didnt have that alternative so had to put up hence being poorly for the rest of our break
I wouldnt advise it to be honest. If you dont have the alternative like us, be careful what you eat.
