Enjoyed everything about this hotel. The service was brilliant and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Really clean, lovely grounds. Smaller specialty restaurants very good especially the Asian.
A special mention to Beyaz from the entertainment team who was fantastic with our 7 and 11 year old boys. They loved him and he stayed past the end of his shifts to play with them. Impressed with the facilities for younger children as well.
Would definitely go back.

I stayed at the Barut Lara 23rd-30th April for 7 nights, with my husband and two children, 8 and 10yrs. The big thing here, is that if you have previously stayed at or are expecting a 5 star hotel you are going to be disappointed. If however, like us you paid April, out of school holiday, early season prices and had the summer concept, you will very happy indeed! I spent a great deal of time reading trip advisor reviews before we went, so will just list the positives, tips and 'need to know's' I think are important.

Positives..
- No wrist bands! Thank goodness hotels are finally realising how dreadful these things are! Well done Barut.
- The staff will fall over themselves and go out of their way to help you with anything you need or with problems you encounter.
- Food and drinks are plentiful and of excellent quality. Every bar has table service, and the staff are quick to fill your glass and remember which drink you prefer.
- Lots of restatants/snack bars to eat & drink at every mealtime, no need for any repetition here, there's something for everyone with adult only zones too.
- Reservations for Al la carte restaurants easy to make, just ask at guest services if you can't get a table, they were able to squeeze us in when the machine said they were full, now that's service.
- Lots of activities for adults and children, the kids clubs, mini & teen were also good, but few English speaking children, and under 4's cannot be left.
- Pools are clean, safe, and the one near the main hotel heated on cooler days. Waterslides are great fun, they are not open all day, and were only open the last three days we were there.
- Beds super comfy, shower gorgeous, and mini bar restocked everyday with water, milk, juice cartons, branded soft drinks & beer. There's no ferrying water back to the rooms at the Barut.

Negatives
- If you go during the winter concept, think Oct-March, only the buffet restaurant and one other restaurant is open. The outdoor pools, waterslides etc are all closed,
and only the indoor pool which is saltwater is open and for us is unusable.
- Service in Al la cartes is variable. My daughter had nearly finished her main meal before we got ours, and you should never be asked what you would like to have for your main course whilst in the middle of eating your appetisers.
- Some of the rooms are looking a little tired. Our first had a wonky door number, a bedside light not working, significant damage to the tops of two pieces of furniture- looked like a small child had repeatedly bashed something hard onto it and white water ring marks all over the dresser. Reception swiftly changed us into a different and undamaged room, again, excellent service.

Would I go back? Yes, definitely. Good value, excellent surroundings, great staff, gorgeous food and a safe place to be.

Just finishing my holiday at Barut Lara. Truly wonderful hotel that has surprised me and my daughter in far too many details. Every year we spent holiday in Turkey once or twice. We have visited many other 5 star hotels at this price level ( miracle ,rixos, spice, rixos belek, , rixos bodrum)
In this hotel I truly feel the value for my money
Food is of very good quality and you cannot fine many cheap table fillers. Very good breakfast selection, wonderful salads. Selection is maybe a bit smaller than other hotels but quality is much higher.
Wonderful meal selection for lunch. You can eat in the main restaurant in a snack restaurant or two a la carte restaurants
Staff is wonderfully professional. I have not find one member of a staff that would be unprofessionally trained ( it happened a lot in other hotels)
Rooms are very light and modern just right for a Sumer weather
Mini club is the best ever. I travelled with a 5 year old daughter. Club stuff is wonderful very caring and professional. You can leave a child alone for a while and believe me kids never get bored with all the activities, arts and crafts club organises
Hotel has two a la cart restaurants that open early 18.30 just for families with kids ( I have never seen that before) it was a wonderful experience for my daughter to eat in an Asian restaurant at her normal dinner time.
All the bars are fully equipped and offer all possible drinks coffees etc ( remember to ask for import alcohols) otherwise staff will use local ones for you drinks
Hotel has got a very nice cats and dogs house which is also an attraction for kids
Again a wonderful family hotel. We have already booked our next stay

Everything is in this hotel, you don't need to venture out at all! After reading previous reviews I was apprehensive about this hotel. But please don't be put off by these overly picky comments, we were blown away by this hotel.
Food, drinks (branded) = amazing, always lots to do throughout the day; special thanks to Selchuk the animation guy and Serhat the barman who me & my partner loved!!
My fiance proposed to me at one of the Al carte restaurants in which the guest relations staff were very helpful to make the evening special. I will never forget it!!!
Also the wifi worked extremely well in the surroundings of the hotel
The price we paid was well worth the trip and I am now recommending this hotel to all friends and family.
If you are looking for top service this is where you need to be. Thank you to everyone at Barut Lara for making this an experience of a lifetime.

We have just returned from the barut in lara and can honestly say this is the best holiday hotel we have stayed in.We are regular visitors to the antalya area having holidayed in alanya and side. From the minute of our arrival to the time we left two weeks later we were treated to five star trtreatment. All the staff from reception to guest relations, animation team, waiters ground staff were always there to help and very courteous.I must however mention Hassan and Ufuk from the animation team for making our stay even better as we built up a great relationship with these two lovely easy going guys . With five themed restaurants (which we sampled ) serving excellent gourmet food from different parts of the world and the main dining area serving lovely food we did have a fabulous choice of dining. With 24 hour all inclusive service and a mini bar Safe deposit and air conditioning also included in the all inclusive package we would strongly recommend the barut lara to anyone for a fabulous holiday

Room tip: Try to book a garden as the grounds and outside areas are well kept and lovely to walk around
