Whenever I visit Antalya I stay in Ozmen Hotel. Since Aziz, the owner, married Deniz in 2011, they have made major upgrades: new floors, bathroom floor tiles, doors, windows, beautiful sheer curtains and drapes to block out sun, shower stalls, sheets, rugs, art work, and paint job. There is always very hot water. Although bathrooms are small, they are immaculate. Rooms have cable TV and air conditioning. Deniz upgraded the breakfast to be a self-serve breakfast buffet with bowls of honey, jams, 2 fresh cheeses, freshly made yogurt without artificial sweetners or preservatives, breads, watermelon, strawberries (in season), eggs, meat, cereal, tomatos, cucumbers, oranges, apples, nectarines, a coffee machine, olives, and pastries. The breakfast view from the rooftop terrace is just about the best view of the water, beach, and mountains that you can have in Keleici (the historic cobbled-street walking-only section). Deniz is my friend, but I don't go to Ozmen Hotel because she is my friend; I am friends with her because I met her at Ozmen Hotel in 2011. Deniz becomes friends with EVERYONE. Her personal help and warm smile make you feel like you are part of their family. She is a university graduate with a major in languages and a former English teacher. In addition to Deniz, Aziz and the staff also speak English. I definately recommend Ozmen Hotel. It is conveniently located in the heart of the historic district, one block from the water, and one block off the main walking street (so it is quiet but convenient).
