Go to Kas and stay at The Hideaway...it is as simple as that. During our one month trek around Turkey we stayed 3 nights at the Hideaway and wish we had stayed 5. It is a lovely, well run, clean hotel on a quiet street near the ancient theatre. A delicious and generous breakfast including a variety of olives, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, figs, apricots, hazelnut butter, and pure honey, as well as a wonderful dinner is served on the roof top terrace which has a great view of the sea. As innkeepers ourselves, (we own The Wilderness Inn B&B in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, USA) we know a well run hotel when we encounter one, and the Hideaway is exactly that. Kas is an absolutely beautiful town right on the Turkish Riviera and is a great spot from which to hike the Lycian Way and to take day trips to explore the surrounding area. Throughout our month long trip we stayed in many lovely places and met many wonderful people, but Kas, the Hideaway Hotel, and the family who runs it are what we most fondly think of as we reminisce about our recent adventure.
