My wife and i stayed at the Pasha Star hotel in Side from the 13th to the 21st June 2012.We visit Turkey for one or two holidays each year but this is the first time in Side.I will go straight to the point of this review,
1/ The WHOLE hotel is spotlessly cleaned including rooms, pool, stairs in fact EVERYWHERE on a DAILY basis.
2/The restuarant serves a wide range of meals cooked individually by the in-house chef to an exacting and delicious standard using only fresh produce. If what you fancy should not be on the menu then you just have to ask and if possible your meal will be cooked just for you.
3/The staff are absolutely amazing including ALL that work there but a very SPECIAL mention must go to the Bar/Restuarant staff who work SO HARD to not only please you but to make you feel VERY SPECIAL indeed.Always laughing and always there when needed despite the long hard hours they work every day,a credit and an asset to the Hotel and it's owners.
4/A family run hotel the Pasha Star rates as the best run, best kept and value for money hotel my wife and i have stayed at in TURKEY.
5/An "In House" Turkish bath and Massage facility is on site, offering a wide range of treatments from facials, sauna, oil massage therapy and a host of other pampering treats for a seriously small cost.
6/Within the Reception area there is a small shop offering UK papers, drinks, crisps, snacks and inflateables for the pool.Money can be changed at Reception and unlike most hotels, the owners offer a generous exchange rate which i later commented was better than at Antalya airport.
7/Fun for the kids with 3 pools, water slide and water flume, table tennis, pool and table football, enough to keep the kids happy for hours.
8/The Family, Momma.Poppa and their two lovely daughters always greet you with a smile and always happy to chat.Poppa is a Grand chap who once you get to know him has a really good sense of humour and always greets you with a "hello".Momma works behind reception and again if you put yourself out just a teeny bit then the ice is broken and she acknowleges you whenever she sees you.Shadaa and her sister both work in the shop and reception and are an obvious cedit to their parents, plus they are two very nice people.
9/Turkish night is an absolute must, the food is set out on a flower dressed 20foot long table like a banquet with the chef at the hot server waiting to fill your plate with the meat of the day.The evening we went we were treated to 2 belly dancers, the fabulous bar staff got people up and did some Turkish dancing then the Turkish Folk Dancers entertained us with their dancing and traditional costumes, cost 30tl per head.......a bargain.
We generally are not advocates of Thomas Cook but in this instance i must say that they have a GEM to offer at an amazing price.
You will always get a poor review from someone now and again but as far as the Pasha Star is concerned i would take any negative reports with a pinch of salt.
So there you have it,will we go back? ABSOLUTELY.
All rooms have balconies overlooking the pool.Lift to all floors. All with A/Con.
