We stayed at Elkep Evi for 3 nights in mid-November, 2007. We arrived after dark, and found the hotel easily. It being the off-season, we were given once of the best regular rooms in the hotel and quickly found ourselves warm and dry in a roomy, yet cozy and nicely decorated cave room with all the modern amenities (including a separate bath with jacuzzi tub :).
My husband spent quite a bit of time in the evenings down in the hotel lobby where the internet connection was located and found the staff helpful and accommodating. They even stayed late one night to ensure he completed his on-line work.
The rooms have lovely views of the local valley, and are warm and dry (we were there when it was cold and wet outside - it snowed the last morning as we were leaving) - absolutely no musty smell, dampness or dust. The bed was queen-sized and quite comfortable, and the bathroom immaculate, with a towel heater and jacuzzi tub. There is a small refrigerator in the room, as well as a few books and magazines in English, German and Turkish in case you wish to read. Our room had its own covered private seating area outside - probably delightful in the summer, though a bit cool in mid-November.
Breakfast is included each morning - very tasty Turkish breakfast fare, And the hotel is within walking distance of a fabulous restaurant that was so good we wound up eating all three dinners there (it was recommended by the hotel and is around the corner next to the winery on the main street).
The hotel is very convenient to all of Urgup and the main sight-seeing areas of Cappadocia.
I very highly recommend it as an extremely good value for the money, excellent location, and a fascinating, once-in-a-lifetime hotel experience.
