The staff and hotel live up to the exceptional reviews. When you enter all your senses are impacted, the gorgeous decor, the scent of fresh flowers, and the music that puts you in a relaxed mood and makes you feel like you're in a fairy tale. The rooms are all gorgeous with unique decor that's exquisitely put together (we stayed in Bacchus Hideout Room) and snuck a peak in the other rooms. The breakfast is divine - especially the Turkish sundried tomato condiment and all the fresh warm breads, cheeses, olives, figs, eggs/meats. Their house wine was very nice - especially when enjoyed from their rooftop (same place you have breakfast). The hotel at night is really romantic, especially with the candles and lighting throughout. The staff are really warm and friendly and accommodating. Felt like we were saying bye to family when leaving. They helped us with arranging tours and recommendations. Balloon ride is a must. Also enjoyed the red valley tour and whirling dervishes ceremony. If you walk down the hill from the hotel, there's a small garden you enter that is actually a family-run wine house that has delicious wines and you can do tastings. It's right next to the hamam - I think it's called Mahzen Sarap Evi. Also recommend the dried fruit/spice stores in town and Urgup Pide & Kebab for a bite to eat - it's next to the bus station in town and seems popular with locals. There's enough to do in town (Urgup) which is different than other cave hotels in the region. Would love to go back to Sacred House - it's a bit pricy but def worth the splurge!
