I stayed in this hotel at the end of June 2012. After reading the reviews before we left we took the view as to it cant be that bad as there are a number of very good reviews. Please please please take no notice of the good reviews. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in....and please dont think im just one of those snobby people that want 5 star for a 3 star price.
where do I start........
All inclusive...Hmmmmm!! the food was for a word, awful! the breakfast was bread, fresh if it was a good day, boiled eggs and salad, cheese and what i can only describe as spam. the food was on platters covered in foil so the food stuck to it, (it was the same plates with foil everyday as u could see where people had scuffed the foil with the tongs) there was no air conditioning in the dining room so all the food was room temperature with many flies hanging around sharing ur would b breakfast. dinner and tea are pure slop.you will find that you will either live on bread or just eat out. if you do brave it and eat at the hotel you dont get to serve yourself, you have the staff banging the trays with utensils to hoard you in like cattle and slap your food onto a plate.
The drinks included are vodka, gin, raki, wine, lager, milk and pop. The pop is bottled cheap pop, so ur a lucky one if u get a fresh bottle opened when you order your drink, otherwise your stuck with flat pop. they are served in stained plastic tumblers, not the throw away ones, but more like childrens beakers. dont dare ask for a glass of milk in the morning, i made this mistake and was asked if i was a baby! he then started to pour the milk from teapots on the side, that were sat in the sun and hand it to me. when i asked for fresh milk i was looked upon like i had two heads. i did finally get a glass of milk, although bregrudgling...needless to say i didnt ask again.
Onto mr happy....... firstly he is the furthest thing from Happy that I have ever met! mr perv, MR agressive to staff, or just mr inapproriatewould be more appropriate names for him. what a horrible man, he treats his staff more like servants, even in front of guests. if you dont flirt with the guy upon arrival you wont get a look in, but that more than suited us!
Seagul or seagall as he is commonly known is vile to put it blunty, he just walks round grunting
The hotel is clean and the rooms are stayable. the view from the hotel is bare to say the least
the hotel is right on the outskirts of marmaris in back alleys with not much around. you can catch the bus into town for 2 lira which is ok.
if you are going to the waterpark do not get roped into going to the one on the beach, its small and overpacked. you cant enjoy urself as everything is on top of everything else. please pay the extra and go to the one on the hill.
Please listen to the reviews, this is not a hotel to go! pay extra and go somewhere else and if youve already booked try and swap to another hotel as when you get there they want at least an extra £200 each to move you to a different hotel
Everyone around is aware of the horror of this hotel as when they ask where your staying and you tell them they just pull an 'oh dear' kinda face!
