Stayed here for a week in September to chill out after a hectic seven day cruise and a lovely relaxing place it was to. About a 20 minute walk along the promenade from the port and shops/bazaar it was well placed for strolls in either direction. Surrounded by bar/restaurants which were friendly , cheap and well worth a visit be it eating or drinking.
The hotel itself had a very grand entrance hall and reception the staff there extremely helpful and polite. The rooms functional and the bed was great, lovely pillows been a long time since I slept so well in a hotel, needless to say it was a very clean place as it should be when trying to be top of the range. My one gripe and after reading other reviews I am in a minority was the meals, which I thought lacked choice and unless you ran round by the time you got back to your table were cold. Was it me ? I don't know but after day 2 I gave up and ate out all the time and if your British I would definitely do this as a full English and Scottish breakfast widely available and very reasonable ( try Oscars or the café over the road). That's my gripe over , excellent pool and the gardens were amazing if your into your plants have a look , good indoor pool and up to date gym all in all grand hotel shame about the grub.
