We travelled with a teenager, parents and two sets of friends ( ages from 14 to 70 ) .On arrival which was approx 02.15 we were all booked in and offered refreshments and food which was well appreciated . Our parents being the eldest of our party had the nergis block with a total sea view - beautiful for them to relax on . The rest of us were allocated the block behind called Jasmine, we all had a one bedroom apartment each,- fantastic for us and we all have no complaints about the rooms or being separated . The hotel have listened to their guest and while we were there more sun beds were brought in and the private beach was extended and more table and chairs were added as the first few days were a night mare with this issue .The food is OK and plentiful and value for money .Now for our only complaint " the drink " all soft drinks were very watered down cordials and no fresh orange juice etc or paying variety ,the alcoholic drinks were the weakest of weak the cheapest of cheap and the measures were a dribble covered up by ice ( if you ask for more some do put more in depending on who's around watching them.)The entertainment is shocking and what with the lack of variety of drinks we found ourselves out of the complex in the evenings which is not what all inclusive is about ( the hotel want worry about that they have had your money). We have been to marmaris before and have done all the trips so all inclusive to us was ideal but this hotel for all its good points has a long way to go when evening arrives so be prepared to spend more.On the subject of money prices have gone up as they are aware the euro is up with the pound and more people are opting for turkey its still cheap but could be cheaper but hey they are in buisness. After all said A holiday is what you make it and the nergis is in a great position to do that ,central to everything and all the staff are pleasent from the maids right through to the security and nothing is too much trouble for any of them and we all can say we enjoyed our stay here

4 Jun 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

My Partner and I went to the Nergis Beach on 20th May for 2 weeks with our friends and thier 11 yr daughter, we all went with open minds after reading good and bad reviews. Our first impressions of the hotel were good when we arrived at 7.30 on the morning, Check in was very efficient anfd we were given rooms in that block (rose)
Our rooms were average, ours overlooking the pool and our friends overlooking the entertainment area/road. Wardrobe space was minimum unless we had too many clothes!
The food was fine for first couple of days or so but then we soon disccovered that you got the same nearly every day and night, breakfast was the better meal of the day as there was omelettes/ fried eggs or pancakes cooked as you ordered them outside by a friendly happy guy as well as all your usual continental breakfast choices and cereals etc. lunchtime and evening meals consisted of chicken or meatballs in various sauces, chips, a vegetable choice and a salad bar, there was something always been cooked outside but it was again normlly chicken. We went and ate out everynight for the last 10 days of our holiday because we couldn't stomach the food anymore and usually had a bite for lunch from outside, Asmens, the little snack bar on the beach next door to the hotel was a favourite. There were a lot of British people in the hotel and this was the main complaint of everyone that we spoke too, the food.
The alcoholic drinks weren't a lot better, they were very weak and watered down, we noticed they got a little stronger the last 2 or 3 days of our holiday for some reason.
We have all been on numerous all inclusive holidays in Turkey and Spain and this has been the worst hotel for food and drinks. We all ended up spending alot more than we budgeted for!
You had to be up early to be able to get a sunbed by the main pool, the one which is in the brochure but the pools near the stage areas weren't as busy but you would have a walk for any food or snacks throughout day in restaurant.
You are required to wear clothing over your bikini within the restaurant, I was advised by one of the waiters on our first day which was fair enough and then again later in the week as we stood looking around, I did have my top with me ready to put on. We did notice however that this wasn't applied to everyone and some people were permitted to sit and eat with bikinis on, I pointed this out to the waiter and asked why? Lack of consistancy I feel. I know it sounds petty but it was the principle.
I can't comment on the entertainment on an evening time as we went out each night.

We all had a Turkish bath and Massage including a face mask, friends daughter had the facial mask and it was very reasonable priced and worth every penny, the Turkish guy, Ossie who works in the baths was a really friendly guy and always made the effort to come and to us on more than one occaision every day.

The overall holiday was good and we laughed most of the time, Marmaris is a nice resort and you can have the holiday you want but the Nergis Beach is not a hotel any of us would return too.

Me and my partner have just returned from a week at Club Nergis and I can say i thoroughly enjoyed it. The worst part of the holioday was the transfer from airport to hotel, (landing at 4am and having a 2 hour transfer can be tiring) On arrival at the hotel we were greeted at main recption, had to fill in a breif form and were given the keys for our room (we did pay 43 TL for a safe for the week which is a bit pricey) We were shown to our room, this was in the Nergis block and i do have to say it did seem to be the best block out of the hotel. we were in room 322 on the 3rd floor and i have never seen a room so big in my life(there ws only two of us and e had been given a room for at least 3 people)
we had no trouble at all while we stayed apart from one night where upstairs (turkish) sounded like they were moving furnature around at 3am.
I cant comment on the hotel entertainment as every night me and my partner went out we became regulars at malibu beach (go to the beach front and turn right from the hotel its about 2mins walk) everyone there is so friendly and they like to talk to you alot. we also booked for turkish night at malibu beacj (thursday night and is 25TL) i highly recomend it although it ws kerbab night at the hotel when we stayed (may not apply all the time)
One thing i would be careful of is Marmaris market, it was EXTREMELY busy and the men dont let you walk on me and my partner spent 15 mins in here before leaving, it was awful.
As we didnt fly back untill 5.15am we thought that the Daliyan check out trip would be a good idea, dont get me wrong the mud baths and the trip to turtle beach were good and the mid day meal was okay too but the hotel that you get transfered to and the evening meal were awful me and my partner couldnt wait to leave.
we decided that we would stay here again as you can pick up meals together,(although sometimes a bit repetitive) the staff were very friendly, the location was brilliant and we never had any problems findin sun loungers (although it is easier down by the beach) some mornings we found ourselves getting up a little bit late and still finding beds.

overall a very good and enjoyable holiday!! :)

me and my partner have just returned from this hotel after 2weeks , after reading all the reviews we thought it would be ok as most of them said that it was good.
the location of the hotel was the best thing! the food was terrible! everytime we ate at the hotel we both had very dodgy tummies and after speaking to other guests they too were the same. needless to say we ate out for the majority of our stay.
the entertainment staff were only friendly with the children, when they asked us to take part during the day we said no and then we got evil looks off them for the rest of the day!
we were put in the gardinia block and what a dump it was!
the only good thing was it was clean! it was very small the curtains didnt fit the windows and were falling off the bedsheets didnt fit,the fridge in the room didnt work and it took them 3 days to fix it after they said it would be a couple of hours! and the bathroom was very small.
a couple of the receptionist were horrible acting like you were being a nusience if you asked them anything.
this was the first time we had been to turkey and we thought it was great (outside of the hotel) we will be returning but will definatley not be staying at this hotel.
