As others have said, the views over Al Ain are fantastic. The hotel is well kept.up, rooms are good, albeit maybe a bit small.
You'll need your own private transport to get to the hotel, as its on the outskirts of town.

This hotel is worth a visit if only for the spectacular views over the surrounding conytryside from its elevated location.
However, its more than that - its a refreshing break from the crazy prices in nearby Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its an excellent property and they don't seem to have jumped on the bandwagon of rising charges yet.
The rooms are clean and well fitted - everything works including the Internet system and service is unobtrusive.
The pool area gets packed at the weekend so if you want a quiet time, try a week day visit (Sunday to Thursday).
F&B facilities are a bit limited (one restaurant and one and a half bars) despite what the blurb says but staff are friendly and food adequate, if not special.
In conclusion - this is one of the good ones - try it !

All the rave reviews about the magnificent views are true. Great road up which climbs nearly 1000m up Jebel Hafeet, lots of switchbacks and plenty of places to stop to take photos. The view at night to the lights of the town way, way below is stunning.
Hotel staff are efficient however they want a 400 AED authoritisation from a credit card to cover "expenses". I pointed out to the check-in guy that 400 AED would buy the entire contents of the mini-bar and the fridge it came in!
The room is large, attractively decorated and had a balcony overlooking the pool area and a park and garden area. Unfortunately the room was under the disco (beware of room 329 or any of the rooms near it). It was so damn noisy, though the band does a good version of "I will survive". which we could hear clearly. There's also another band playing in the pool area. We came for a romantic weekend but after the first night, we both wanted sleep not romance :-(
Breakfast buffet is extensive and has the usual Arabic and Western selections.
For a group of friends who want a weekend of lying by the pool and dancing at night its a perfect place. If you're looking for a romantic break with your 'significant other', go elsewhere. We moved on to the Intercontinental at Al Ain and it was perfect.

Had a very cheap rate for this hotel, i'll start with the bad...
I booked a room which was advertised as accommodating two children in addition to myself and wife, only to arriviev to find a room with just two single beds. Upon complaining I was given two mattresses to put on the floor, luckily my kids are young enough not to be peturbed about that.
Everything else was first class, the evening buffets were cheap and very good quality, alchohol is average price and the breakfast is excellent value.
Mini golf great fun and good quality, pools great although some revovation limiting the amount of space available around the pool.
Very remote and a eight mile taxi drive from Al Ain which I found had little to offer. If you decide to go you may be lucky to get a crazy taxi driver as opposed to a very crazy one.
I've been to UAE three times now and nearly every taxi ride involves some sort of near miss or life threatening action.

Spent a week end there... me and my other half just wanted to escape from Dubai and have a relaxing week end off! Amazing view, lovely sun downer at the pool with a cool breeze...!
The service could be looked into a little bit but bottom line if you r looking for a quiet place and a good deal definetly have to try it!
It is true in the week end it does get a bit crowded... loads of families (85% expats from Dubai and Abu Dhabi) but well worth the detour!
