I truly recommend this hotel for families looking for 5 star comforts but do not have to pay the 5 star prices.
We (family of 2 adults and 2 children) have just arrived back to Australia after a 8 night stay at the Furama and now suffering post holiday blues, all because the Furama makes you feel like you are in paradise.
The staff are all geniunely friendly, extremely flexible. The buffet breakfast was first class with an extensive selection from bacon & eggs to sushi. We just about tried everything on the menu and could not fault any of the foods even the lamb souvalki with feta was amazingly delicious not to mention the authentic vietnamese dishes. Buffet dinner was very well priced at only $25 US which included lobster and rib eye steak cooked to your
liking.
Massages by the ocean pool or by the garden lagoon pool where sensational at only $15 US for a 30 minute back massage - excellent price which meant we treated ourselves every day to a massage. Phuoc the masseur was very good highly recommend to book him in advance.
Our babysitter which we regularly requested Kim Ha was very caring and most importantly was loved by the kids - the kids preferred each night to go back to the room with the babysitter and watch cartoon network rather than stay with us at dinner or go into Hoi An.
We had an amazing room overlooking China beach although they initially do not seem overly large the room well served their purpose and did not feel cramped, it was beautifully appointed , very clean and the balcony was a good size with beautiful views.
China beach can be rough with high waves, it was well supervised by hotel lifeguards and the sand was very clean and just like in the postcards. Although our children enjoyed the lagoon garden pool and it catered well for both my 5 year old and 8 year old.
The only recommendation and not a fault is the need to consider adding more outdoor dining seatings, as the Terrace restaurant was always fully booked and we were not able to experience the alfresco dining experience we so very enjoy doing when on holidays.
It is only about a 15 or 20 minute drive to Hoi An and only 5 minutes into the interesting industrial city of Danang - must go to the Hanh market to experience some true vietnamese bargaining to get those silk pyjamas and fake brand luggage.
Thank you Furama for adding to our paradise holiday memories and hope to return shortly.
