Have just returned from a stunning holiday in Aqaba and The Dead Sea.
We went with VJV and cannot fault the holiday..
Aqaba is a sea resort, the only one on the Jordan coast. It is within walking distance of Israel, but you must take a taxi and go the 'safe way' if you want to visit.
We found the people very friendly, no hassles with buying, and safe from pick-pockets etc.. Food very good too if you eat out. Don't forget to visit the public beach where all the stalls are. You wont get hassled to buy, and the beach guys are full of fun, just want to talk to you.. Taxi drivers will follow you, but all in good humour..
We had 4 days in the Movenpick Hotel which is 5* But you must get out,see Aqaba town.
