Decided to stay the night after attending the New Years Party in the Picollo Restaurant. The party was excellent and food very good however the room was below what we expected for a Hyatt Hotel. The carpet was dirty, the paint on the walls was shabby and peeling in places and the furniture had seen better days. If ever a hotel room needed refurbishment it was this one. The bathroom wasn't much better with black mildew between the bath and the tiled area. The outside of the hotel could also benefit from a fresh coat of paint and looks neglected. The main public areas are al well maintained as is the garden and swimming pool. This wasn't an expensive deal we booked however we still expected a cleaner and better furnished room.

Hotel looks great and the rooms are more than satisfactory in comparison to the other hotels in JB. There is a nice sea view from the room and the bathtub is HAPPENING. You can enjoy the sea view and watch tv at the same time while soaking yourself in the rather small bath tub. They provide everything from cotton buds to shaver and shampoo. And also you can make use of the free amenities there such as the tennis court and rackets for free! Lastly, the breakfast omelette is a must try~ Just keep going back there will ya!!!

The hotel was so old and the window of the hotel are all so dirty. The swimming pool also did not properly maintain. Don't be deceive by its official website...it is totally different look. The place is really even worst than a 3 star hotel. It is really shameful for Hyatt. totally disappointed. Don't waste your money in this hotel, will regret.

First, I don't believe the reveiw. As I thought Hyatt is a world class hotel, tt woudn't be that bad. Then I booked the room on June 2006. It turns out the carpet is dirty and old. TV channel not working. Management said will send technical to check however noone came. VERY DISSAPPOINTED.
