This is one of the dives to do when in the Maldives - Last june when staying at Club Faru I dived it with Ocean Venture Diving
The Maldives Victory Wreck is a 110 metre long cargo ship that sank in 1981, which means it is now covered in a mixture of hard and soft Coral. I would suggest wearing gloves due to the line, and exposed metal should you need hold on. Because of it's depth and location,it can be subject to strong currents, its not for the novice Diver. There is a shot line from the main mast(12m) to the Deck (27m) which we used to descend. The bottom depth of the wreck is 37m Maldive law is max of 30m. But You can drop into the hold around 30m , where there is plenty of things to see, I then moved up to the stern and bridge area (20m) including swimming through the cabin where I saw plenty of fusiliers and some jacks. Then followed another line at 16m to the top of the mast and up to our safety stop Visibility: 10 - 15 metres and a warm 28 C with no current on the day I Dived, what made it special was it was my 50th dive as well!
