On the second floor of the Dom Knigi, which itself is fun to browse, is the Cafe Singer. The Singer building's facade is striking making it very easy to find! The views from the restaurant are of Nevskii Prospect and Kazan Sobor across the Prospect...it is really enjoyable to sit at a table by the window and look out on all the activity on the street and the canal. The tea is especially good but must be accompanied by one (or more) of the delicious pastries offered and displayed in the glass cases as one enters the restaurant. The service is outstanding and the prices very reasonable; even if they weren't the experience should not be missed. I went every day I was in St. Petersburg!
